    What makes it stronger metal if you are only using cold rolled? If you were using 4130 and burg was using cold rolled then I could see saying that. Basically all it is would be thicker metal...

    Actually mine is hot rolled to. I acid washed all my steel and got rid of that pesky mill scale. I actually only use cold rolled 3/16 now :D

    He might find the rear shocks used, but those trucks require a short body 8" shock for the front so its pretty rare to find them used.

    Chances are it is P&O Steel, which is not the same as cold rolled. Cold rolled general stops at .125" Thickness, sometimes 10ga or .134" thickness. It can be found in thicker, but is special order.

    P&O is hot rolled steel that goes through an acid bath to clean mill scale, than is oiled. (Pickled & Oiled) It has a much cleaner surface, but is not the same as cold rolled.

    Cold rolled is general stronger because it is cold worked, and than annealed to increase its ductility.

    Im not sure why anyone would use hot rolled for a suspension part, it welds like shit. All my arms are made out of 3/16" P&O steel. It is plenty strong for its purpose and welds up nicely

    Clean material is nice :D

    I was under the impression it was cold rolled do to the lack of mill scale or oil. Also I noticed it is way harder to drill vs the hot rolled mill scale cover shit I used to use. Either way It's 3/16 and its not covered in mill scale :cool:
