That video is crazy good. Very inspiring. Bobert posted one a while back from a Canadian 4wd club that was badass too, with rails and ultra slo-mo shots - I'll see if I can find it.

It would be really cool to spend a weekend exploring and setting up scenes like this, but the I always think "Damn, that would take forever!" Having to setup each shot beforehand, and constantly stay ahead of the pack. The end result is well worth it, but it seems like it takes away from the candidness and spontaneity of the whole experience...since almost everything is "staged". But, that's probably just envy, and my ADD/Impatience speaking for me :p

Edit: it was this video, down by CT4wd also. These guys are a bunch of badasses.

Yea...in my experience for every minute of video there is like 1 to 3 hours worth of shot set up and editing. Plus it would be so hard on the narrow trails we drive, to run ahead and set up. Though maybe if there are some ideal filming sections we could always set up and shoot.

    Thanks man!

It's coming along...slowly. My laptop was not cutting it, so I moved everything to my desktop, and it is MUCH faster. I've edited all the clips and added cue points to the music, just need to sequence it all.

No boob shots, edit all mine out!!! Just put a black sensor bar over mine even if I'm clothed! Not even manboobs should make this cut, ...unless they are giggling in slow-mo and set to music.

You set the bar pretty high Angie, I think we need another camping trip to get more footage....and another 1/2 Gallon of Jack.

I agree! You boys forgot to tell me that there's 5% focus on food prep, 5% focus on camping, and 90% focus on wheeling. This was like the camping-wheeling olympics! Next time i will definitely be setting aside 10% of my time for booze consumption! Glad I lived to tell the story tho. Now if I just had some badass footage to go with it..... this film is taking so long to piece together we might as well start planning the premier viewing party for it.

    floppity flip-flop!

On the plus side, I got a whopping 27 seconds of footage done last night! :woot:

I decided to make (2) videos, one will be about 3:30, set to some cliche Black Metal (showcasing the highlights and rowdy parts), which should be done this week.

The other will be about 7:30 set to some badass brooding instrumental "metal" that will be more expansive and try to capture more of the trip as a whole.

Over halfway done with the first video. Might finish up tonight.

There will be no sexy-time in the videos, just blatant black metal.

Haha, as you can see in my video, it turns me into a large black-man with moobs and an affection for getting krunk. Kind of like a werewolf....but not at all.
