Does anyone know if the 2012 mirror with Homelink can be installed in a 2013? I'm hoping it is a plug and play install.

The 2013 Tacoma Limited comes with Homelink so I'm sure it can be done. I'm kind of disappointed that mine doesn't have one considering they've been around for 10 years or more.

    Oh, and Go Naby!

Anybody else know for sure on this? I have a 2012, with an opportunity to upgrade to a 2013, but want to ask the dealer to swap my mirrors if this is a simple unplug / plug.

So dumb not putting Homelink in all 2013's...

Mine works great. I can hit it from the street. I think it works better than the remote that came with the door. I kept trying to use the remote to link and finally realized that I was going to after to the learn notton on the opener.

Don't know if you got your answer, but
Yes it does, simple plug/play - same plug, b/u camera, compass and temp all work just fine.
I was in same dilemma, took homelink mirror out of '12 TRD Sport and tried it in a '13 TRD Sport. No worries.

Just installed the mirror, works great. All functions work immediately. Compass needs calibration which is as simple as driving on a counterclockwise circle.

I will post photos of the install later.

He said a couple months back the following, I want homelink, but not that much unless I could sell my stock '13 mirror for close to that. Sounds like a Toyota P/N.

"the mirror was $560. Part number 87810-04090. "

Were you able to sell the non-homelink one and for how much?

I REALLY want the homelike because I would rather use one of my overhead glasses bins for something other than my garage door opener, but NOT for $500+.

Sold the non homelink mirror for $225. It allows the 2009 and up crew to add a backup camera

Yes. I believe the LCD is a little larger in the 2012 model and up too. (Mine is 2012).

Well, it looks like he sold his non-homelink for 225, and a new homelink costs over $500, so I think $300 would be very fair.
