Speaking of switches, I finally built a hot bus and a ground bus and put them inside my center console for all my switches, now only the 1 hot, 1 ground and the individual switch wires need to run through the firewall.

 

Where mine is.

It's just a normal solenoid. Can put the switch where ever you want. If you wire it the way I do you can put multiple switches where ever.

 

but the quotes are so sig worthy!

 

I only do grounds. That way only one wire per switch through the fire wall and no power runs through it.

 

Thanks for the solenoid info, I wanted the power coming from the block, not anywhere else in the cab, that way it's totally separate from the rest of the truck, when I put it all on another battery then it will stay completely isolated.

 

Right I have my power from one area too. I just don't run not through the switches. Just ground

My wife and I hiked 6 miles today in the hills south of Poky this evening. Was pretty nice. We drove around on the road that goes up through there by the trail yesterday evening.

Ddm relay shit on my face this morning. Was driving to the gym before sunrise....had to wait on the side of the road for 20 mins for some light haha

Isn't any power going to either of the ballasts
They buzz if there's power going to mine....they're cold and dead when I turn my lights on

They won't buzz if they fail tho. They stop firing if they arc out. Need. Volt meter to test.

My last relay shit itself too..I'm hoping it's just the relay cause that's what I just ordered haha

Why the hell did you order one..you can go down town to any car store and pick one up for 6 bucks...
