Wasn't the new Apple OS being sold for $50? They have to keep up with the competition. I've been running the Beta and RC on my home computer, and it's worth the upgrade from Vista.

It's noticeably faster, seems to have a smaller memory footprint, it's easier to disable UAC, and I really like the tweaks to the GUI/taskbar/etc.

UAC is User Account Control... that annoying crap that pops up every time you try to install a program, etc.

and that why i have a mac.. so when all my PCs crash and burn or need upgrades, i can always fall back on something reliable..:p haha well i might need to try those out because vista was probably microsofts biggest fail.

Windows 7 is basically everything Vista should have been. I've been using it for a while now, and it is noticeably faster than Vista or XP. I'm on an older RC, and I have had 0 problems. It's a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. Hopefully, business will embrace it moreso than Vista.

Not too worried about the pricing ;)

Aaah, ME brings back memories of starting out as a lowly bench tech. There were actually a few people who though ME was the be all and end all. Then again, these were the same people who's last PC ran 3.1.

Ha! Me too! I still have XP Pro installed. So should I upgrade to 7? I was afraid to upgrade to Vista because everyone said it sucked. Worthwhile to upgrade?

    yay or nay?
