    here ya go, dude
    check this one out... clearly not a soft slap on the face

    Jay238 - The "knockout punch" looks a little odd too me..until the follow up punch, that was contact lol..........fist-face-head-ground

    and definately nothing odd about a solid left hook to the chin rendering a man unconcious

    I could watch that GIF all night

    If you get KTFO via strikes by a man who's primarily a wreslter; minorly a jiu-jitsu practioner; and then lastly a striker: you have absolutely no business whatsoever in a ring with Roy Jones Jr.

    I agree with you on your second paragraph, the past few fights Silva has really played his opponents the first couple rounds then picked them apart after. And I wouldn't even think for a second he threw the fight had he not said what he did after the fight was over. Since he signed a 10 fight contract, why did he say he ain't fighting for a belt anymore? Why did he say all that and pretty much say he was going back home to be with his family and students? Shit don't make sense

    I was over it when I turned the TV off, I'm not a fan nor am I a hater of Silva. Just follow UFC :cool:

    For those thinking that punch was soft, that punch to the jaw that dropped him was real. Watch his body language, he turns to jello as he drops. Then the 2nd punch ( if I remember right) on the ground he wasn't even holding his hands up. He got knocked out legit. And I loved seeing every second of it after how he acted.

    Your error in thinking is that you're expecting Anderson Silva to make sense :p
    Seriously though, the guy is notorious for not making sense

    I might even go as far to say that several minutes after getting knocked that silly; along with the feeling of having a 7 year / 16 fight win streak snapped in pretty humiliating fashion, no one should be expected to make much sense

    A 10 fight contract is huge!
    Most top tier fighters fight twice a year; that's like a 5 year contract he JUST signed before this fight
    That is NOT what guys who are so stressed with the pressure of being a champion that they conclude they must "throw" a fight to get out do;
    They do things like retire... or sign a much more normal length contract: like 3 fights

    I don't doubt for a second that maybe now he's not so big on the idea of fighting any more;
    that sort of thing can happen when you have millions of random people on the internet starting threads and making fun of you for how humiliating and deserving your loss was

    I think people are just reaching at any straw they can in disbelief that he legitimately got caught
    He fought/acted no differently at all than he has against many others, far before he claimed he didn't want to fight for the belt
    Even Anderson himself gave all the credit to Weidman
    Apparently you just can't toy with professional combat-sport athletes and get away with it 100% of the time; makes sense to me

    In that last vid posted, look at Silva's eyes. He's out before his ass hits the mat. He's off watching Boris chase Bullwinkle then takes a few unprotected shots to the face after that! Fist to head, head to mat, brain damage to ensue. He deserved it. And Weidman deserved the win for sticking it to him.

    His next fight will be a rematch and he will get the belt back. Even though he says he doesn't want to fight for the belt.

    Yes
    And it's not like Weidman was getting outclassed then pulled a fluke KO, in the 2nd, out of no where
    He was in dominant ground position for the first 2:30 minutes of round 1; he almost sunk a heel hook; and he landed more strikes
    I haven't seen anyone who didn't have the 1st round 10-9 Weidman
    He won the fight... the whole thing. Period

    Sonnen may have been able to do the same thing if he didn't have pillows for fists. haha

    New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
    left hook that dropped him, classic, especially from the other angle....

    it doesn't take a real 'hard' hit to render someone senseless, the hit, even one that is much lighter, combined with the quick snap of the head is all it takes, bell rung, the subsequent blows where just turning the light switch all the way off ...

    thanks for the vid postings....

    From thew outside, it doesn't look like a very strong hit. When you are wearing the gloves and are in the match, things are quite different. Been in several full contact matches, no where near this level though, Sometimes the hit just gets in there, doesn't matter what it looks like. All of a sudden, bingo, lights, stars, no noise, blackness, more punches raining down . Hurts just remembering it.

    Something was off in that fight. I know he has acted cocky before but that was a new level. The post-fight interview also seemed weird, almost as if he was happy he lost. Im not saying he threw the fight, it was just weird all around. If they rematch in December like it is rumored and he fights without making a mockery of it, he wins easily. If he does decide to hang it up or just take superfights, it at least opens up the division.

    I kindly disagree
    I could point to several; but, most notably, I think his antics against Maia for nearly 20 minutes were way more severe than they were in this one
    And he is notorious for not making sense / being weird

    Also, I do believe that he was genuinely showboating and making a mockery of it;
    but, at the same time, I also think that is an actual intergal part of his fighting style: get people frustrated and flustered; get them to swing wildly and then counter-strike

    And, I don't think Anderson wins easily in a rematch; I would pick Weidman again
    Even before Anderson started acting a fool, in round 1, Weidman was in dominant ground position for the first couple minutes; landed more strikes (although less accuracy), almost sunk a heel hook, etc.
    Round 1: 10-9 Weidman; then we all know what happened in round 2...
    Weidman took that whole fight everywhere it went; including pre-antics

    I do not disagree that Weidman won the first round but he landed nothing significant from the top position. Anderson generally loses early rounds against wrestlers ie Henderson, Sonnen, Weidman. He takes a bit to warm up so to say. If he fights like he did against Griffin, Belfort, Leben etc , this thread does not exist. His ground game is highly underrated, last submission he was caught in was by Chonan in Pride back in like 04?

    I am no Silva fan by any means, I just dont beleive that he gave that fight his best effort. I was actually hoping that he would have vacated the title 3 years ago and moved up to LHW to test himself.

    Anderson has a hell of a chin; it didn't rock him; but those were definately significant

    I will agree that Anderson did not fight to the best of his potential; but, that doesn't change my opinion
    Mainly cause I don't think he CAN fight against someone with the skill set of Weidman the way he fought against Griffin, Belfort, Leben...

    To each his own. It did open up the division for the time being, which is a good thing. I must not be sold on Weidman because I think Belfort, Anderson both beat him. WIll be interesting to see what happens down the road.
