Which beach is that? I went down to 30 I believe on the 6th. Ended up helping this older couple out who was stuck for four hours, they were waiting on a tow truck. Took 5-10minutes with my snatch strap and spare d-ring hitch receiver.

 

I always forget to take pics. That pannel truck I winched out would have been interesting.

 

I was on Ocracoke. Had a blast. Borrowed Bandits strap and receiver with a d ring and pulled out 2 people. One was a suburban 4 wheel drive with 20 something inch rims and low profiles.... idiot.

I recommend going to Ocracoke! From my house in Chesapeake you can be there in about 2 1/2 hours including the Free ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke Island. On the way down you can stop at the light houses and also the Wright Brothers field and museum where the first flights took place in 1903. Very cool place. And Ocracoke is a cool little spot too! Lots of good places to eat at in the cove.

 

I recommend Ocracoke also. Best part of obx to go to in my opinion

I can probably get us a window at my range... I think we have a dozen lanes indoor... never really counted. Shotguns OK, no rifles indoor over .22 I'd need to have an idea of when, then I can check the range sched, and ask the BOD for permissions. I'd need to get an RSO or 2 from the range or if any of you are NRA RSO (I am) it would suffice. For something like this, we'd need 1 RSO for every 4 shooters on the line. www.NCRR.net Ches / Suffolk area.

What's up guys. I'm not a new member, just use these forums to learn and for reviews when needed. I'm stationed in Norfolk on the USS Arlington until I retire in 2015. I'm a geo bachelor so I live onboard. I have a lot of free time on my hands and wouldn't mind catching up with some of you from time to time and could use a decent place for maintenance and such. The base has an AUTO Port where I can rent a garage bay but I'd rather be able to buy the stuff and do the work without the red tape and a waiting list. Depending on my schedule (which is not vary busy) I'm down!
