Oh yeah I was mistaking it for just having vents in the rear. Yeah, doesn't make a whole lot of sense given the 2 vehicles are so similar. The starting price for 4Runners is higher though, but still doesn't make much more sense beyond that.

Probably something to do with general cost and market aim. I guess from Toyota's point of view, they see the TRD Sport as more of an "around town, light outdoors" setup, and the TRD Offroad as the "out in the dirt" truck. That way they cater to 2 different markets while keeping the truck essentially the same, making the customer either pay for A.) cosmetic additions, or B.) Functional additions.

And maybe they see a big divide in cosmetic versus clean/function and rather keep the 2 separated versus combined, because if they are combined they feel people would be more hesitant to buy the truck. Hell I have no idea lol.

I personally wouldn't say Horrendous, it accents well on my Barcelona Red - But I do love my heated leather.

The chrome was more for the wife. She likes shinny things. it distracted her from the 35k price tag. ;)

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
There is some other stuff, like bed lights I would like, but would rather add my self. I like the mods people are doing with led strips over a light up by the 3rd brake light. The led strips light up the bed a lot better.

Very valid points. Just another reason to have something factory done. This isn't a pine derby racer that you want to be more unique than your buddy's, this is a $35k vehicle that should have certain amenities.

Exactly. Same chassis, same overall look - just one is an SUV and one is a Truck. It's like the Sequoia and Tundra, the Tahoe and the Silverado, the Explorer and the F-150, etc...

It's just those wheels and mirrors :puke:

    Not a fact...

I love that light in my mom's Highlander. It's AWESOME.

Yea, like I said - there are plenty that could take it or leave it, and plenty that would really like those features (at least as options). I agree with the sun/moon roof, but I know there are plenty of guys out there that would love the option.

Agreed on the switch. My mom's Highlander has one dim LED light right behind the sunglasses holders on her roof. You don't notice it's there (as it doesn't interfere with night vision) until you put your hand under it or pay attention to the fact that you can see your whole center console in the dim light. It's a very nice feature that wouldn't have been hard to add. One LED light.

    I'm all over it.

Also, they've created a special FLINSTONES EDITION for you guys who think you have to have a truck lacking in features to be a man.

yeah. and yep a lot of guys want it. Idk why some make such a big deal about it. if they want it tha bad get another truck. maybe like a full size chevy or something. Also I have seen a lot of the stuff people complain about on full size trucks. some of it is on my brother ’11 tundra trd off road.
    Welcome!
x2. with kinda first post he will fit in just fine around here.
It will be on the 3rd gen. and it will also come with no windshield or doors or windows. just a little half roof things. oh and stone wheels.

I'm stuck with a crew cab 2012 Chevy Silverado right now. Not 100% what package it has but I ran the VIN and it said something like LT package or some crap. That thing is a bare minimum POS as far as interior goes lol.

Screw that! Stone triangle shape wheels FTW!

No suspension either. What sissy man needs a plush ride? A/C? Think again - real men sweat. Heat? Hell no - grow a beard, sissy.

I personally don't need any more options than my 07 Sport has. I would actually take off TPMS if possible. At the same time I don't have a problem with extra features if they are offered as options or part of a higher package for people than want them. I just don't want to pay for it if I don't need it and won't use it. By the time I'm ready to move on to a new truck, even a base double cab Tacoma will have same amount or more standard features than my current TRD. Works for me. :D

yeah. i was really just naming a full size other then the tundra. My brother had a ’09 idk what package it had either. but in feb he found a nice ’11 tundra with 20k and good price and traded his silverado for it. The tundra is 100x nicer inside and out.
Rain for get it, get a rain jacket. got stuff you need dry, for get it, get a dry bag and put the stuff in that.

You want to tow something? Become an eagle scout and tie it to the back of your truck with a sick knot. You want more stopping power? Don't be a bitch - stick your foot out the door and slow that bad boy down yourself.
