Supernovae of another star, collision of dwarfs....re are many ways that "dust" came to be

Speed is unchanged because what is there to stop the planets? Space is a vacuum. There is no drag or air resistance in space.

If you fart on a golf ball towards the sun...eventually it'll get to the sub

Pretty sure it happened to your ancestors at some point, unless you are a direct descendant of Jesus' original followers.

Death isn't unfair because everyone dies.
Without death, life would be taken for granted and everyone would be robbed of the free choice not to be an ingrate.

Ok. I'm done here. I've had my say and am going back to the truck section.
This fascinating discussion has been lots fun. :)

I encourage you to keep believing what you believe. I'm not here to sway anyone, just provide my point of view on a very sensitive topic that I NEVER discuss. Why I'm doing it here is odd to me, but here I am.

However, to answer your final question I will say this.. how do you really know he is your creator and Lord and Savior? Only because a group of people and a book told you? A lucky guess? Blind faith? What was his divine intervention into your life that was so absolutely conclusive that made you believe in an unknown?

Let me put a different but comparable spin on the same situation. Imagine you've met a girl online and you really hit it off with her. Pics show she is really your physical type, she says all the right things, etc. etc. etc. But, you two never seem to be able to meet in person. She's always out on a "photo shoot" and can't meet you, or always has such an active lifestyle out there doing charity work, walking the neighbor's dog, blah blah blah that you never get to meet her in person. In the meanwhile, the girl next door is a sweetheart and has adored you since you were kids. She's kinda cute but could really be a good one to settle down with. Which girl is the smarter choice???

99 times out of a hundred, the online girl is actually a troll, and you just got catfished. I think you get the idea here... given the choice, I'll take what's in front of me EVERY time versus a blind gamble. I trust no one, and I take no stranger's word for anything. Trust, faith, and love must all be earned, not freely given, unless you plan on living your life as a victim to this world.

Just because it has some clever things in it doesn't mean that the whole book is true.

What promises has he made to you? Or, are those the promises made up by humans and put into writings to make it look like they are the word of God?

Great, good to know the entire bible isn't a lie. Just the important parts are.

Locations of old historic towns and cities from 2000 years ago are easy to get right and put in a book. It's the conjecture about creationism and other "supernatural" events and explanations that are unable to be proven as true. Once a professor figures that out, then you can post his quote.

As for the specific quotes above, they are vague and unfounded with no particular details about what they discuss. Not saying I don't believe that there are great little bits of history about people and places in the bible.. there absolutely are.

I just don't see how all of the writers/authors/contributors to the bible were all 100% factual, especially about the unexplainable parts. Telling me where Moses lived is FAR easier than telling me about his burning bush experience.
