Been having this problem for awhile now. Just started getting worse so i want to get it fixed. I have a 07 tacoma 6 Speed, 35" tires, flow master Exhaust, k&n intake. 100000mile

The Problem is when im accelerating heavily, so basically pedal to medal it will bog very bad everytime I jam on the gas. But if i gently accelerate it wont do it as bad until i reach high RPM's 3500-4000. It is also boggy right off the start when i Rev the engine say in neutral. There is a pause in the Rev of the engine. I checked and cleaned the MAF sensor, Cleaned my Intake. Please help me out, its driving me insane![IMG]

Did you really need to post this twice? Pretty sure someone suggested your fuel pump on the last thread you made for this

To me it sounds like your 35's are too heavy for the engine..so it's flooding out and not able to turn them fast enough. Look into re-gearing?

Or maybe your mixture is off, sounds like you're getting too much fuel and it's bogging down

I had 35s" on it before it started doing it. It's a significant BOG.

I was having this issue on my bike a while back...under heavy acceleration it would bog down...the issue turned out to be a lose fuel injector connection...I guess every time I twisted to full throttle it would jiggle the connections enough that it would shut down that cylinder.

That is the only thing I can relate to that. Normal acceleration it would do just fine, but at WOT it would start bogging down like crazy

Finally one day I was getting on the freeway, opened her up too much and popped the front wheel up just a little and when it hit backdown the whole bike lurched and sounded like a two-stroke. (2005 Triumph Sprint ST1050-3 cylinders) I thought I checked everything, changed spark plugs, checked coils...finally took it to a bike shop...the guy called me shortly after I left LOL'ing like crazy "hey man, I did the oil change like you asked and a little bit of the service...also plugged your #2 FI back in...no charge lol"

That's to funny. "no Charge" I'm hoping its something simple like that. plugs haven't been changed no, I will do them when I take it in next. but If that's not the issue I want the next possible problem that it could be. ya know?

Well, it's easy enough to pull some of the plugs. You can tell if they're bad right off the bat. The fuel pump being bad sounds viable as well. I'm just really surprised you haven't thrown any codes yet. It doesn't sound like you're going into "limp mode". But yea, I'm putting money on delivery system of some sort. Nothing is bad enough for the engine to go 'uh oh' but it's bad enough to bog it down.

Wait. You bought a truck with an Engine code ON? How long have you had the truck? You still haven't brought it to a mechanic??

I would start with the plugs, I know the engines our different but fwiw my firstgen was having similar problems with bogging down upon acceleration. Start with the simple stuff, don't wanna go dumping money when it could very well be something as simple as the plugs

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
Fuel pumps don't normally go bad unless the gas tank is rusted or there's a lot of crap getting into the tank. The fuel filter is what usually get's clogged up.
