You need to run a high load fuel pressure test after checking the code to make sure its not an electrical problem first. Otherwise your shooting from the hip.

A plugged catalytic converter would also cause this symptom. You would hear it though. It can handle lower rpms but as soon as you get some flow up against it your bogging down. Had this issue on my dakota.

I've had the truck for 4 years.lights been on the whole time... I know ( not smart) but it hasn't been giving me enough trouble to bother me until now. the used dealership said they tried to find the problem with the night and wasn't that big of a problem if they couldn't find it.
the bogging started almost a year ago but WASNT that bad and would only do it the odd time. Now its worse and does it everytime I accelerate. I just ordered new NGK platinum plugs, giving it an oil change and will be going over it tomorrow while doing the work.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
    This.

If it comes down to the fuel pump or fuel filter being the problem, you have a few options but in any event make sure go ahead and replace BOTH.

Someone linked the URD fuel pump/external filter earlier---very good idea as well. External fuel filters are a hell of a lot easier to change and a fraction of the price you'll pay a dealership to drop your tank and replace the OEM internal one.

My understanding is that the fuel filter and pump are one unit. So the only way to swap the fuel filter is to swap the pump with it. On that note we have plastic fuel tanks so rust and such shouldn't be a problem. The only stuff getting in there is what goes down the filler neck.

throttle body spacer is not your problem, just make sure all the bolts are tight, sounds like a fuel pump/filter problem....what is the actual code # you are throwing????

as previously mentioned, a high load pressure test will tell you a lot.....
