I have a 2013 touch screen head unit in my 08. It was mostly plug and play but some of the features will not work. Some of the plugs did not match up but you will be able to use it just as you use the head unit that you have now. You can use Bluetooth to stream music but without the mic you will not be able to make a call. Once I get some time I am planning on looking at the schematics to find out what I need to do to make it fully functional.

You will also need an antenna adapter which is easy and cheap. I think its $10 online. It works for 09+ toyota and lexus (the one I bought only said it worked for lexus).

Did you have any issues hooking up to your harness?

 

I ordered a antenna adapter, and a USB cable thingie, they should be here in the next few days. One cable didnt hook up but I think it was the AUX jack.

 

Good to know it was pretty much plug 'n play, I'll be on the lookout for one of these for sure.

 

I am interested in this also, that 2013 unit has GPS on it also? There was a hook up issue with the Aux jack and antenna adapter needed too right? Any other issues? Steering wheel controls? Mic? Bluetooth? XM Radio? And its all basicly plug and play?

No GPS, ordered a antenna adapter, and a new USB plug, still waiting on them to come. I need to order a BT mic for that to work but it still works with my phone using BT just can't make calls yet. Yea I don't have steering wheel control and nor will I, not worried about that. Once I get the things I ordered I will know alot more. But so far it is plug and play, just need the right parts to go with it.

 

That's awesome... It was used for like 11 minures before I pulled it out.
