    One member from an earlier run said he was gonna spray his with Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II. It's similar to cerakote but easier to apply, and should protect it well in areas with a lot of moisture an/or salt.

    But keep in mind that most of the aluminum on our trucks is uncoated anyway and are usually cast which will worm hole faster than billet. Even uncoated, the bracket should last as long as the rest of the aluminum on the truck, if not longer :)

    I'm bummed. I got it painted yesterday and all ready to install. Then this evening, I discovered that my 33" spare tire is in the way. It's just not gonna fit as is. :(
    This potential issue did cross my mind a few of days ago, but then I dismissed it. It's my fault not Iven's. I'm the one making changes to my truck; and didn't consider all of the variables with this mod.
    I do have a couple of ideas that I need to chew on for a bit... :cool:
    I'll keep you posted.
