Scripture addresses magic as well actually. The only thing it says about it is 'font do it'. Which leads me to believe it can be done, but shouldn't. The witch doctors in Africa for example, I've been told are very powerful. It's dark and malicious in every aspect though.

    nonsecular causality for all things:

God helps those who helps themselves.

    It's a miracle.

    It's a blessing.

    God works in mysterious ways.

    My prayers have been answered.

    secular causality for all things:

    fear

    hunger

    passion

I tried reality hard to do eveverything under my control to make this happen.

    I got lucky.

    chaos

    coincidence

here, hold my beer, watch this (darwinsism)

That's fair I suppose, and off hand I don't have a good rebuttal to it. I love science, always my favorite subject and I have a mind for it, but too often I think has science taken liberties with evolution in particular to start pushing education in the direction it chooses. It looks to me like they're taking facts and shaping them to fit the point of view they have and I'm
Not saying I'm doing the same thing, but I'm the only one criticized for it haha.

so a homeless, psychotic, drug addict magically told you he saw the light and heard the call.. You would immediately start listening to him preach because it states its possible?

I dont see any of the western society acknowledging and embracing the witch doctor antics except for their possible relation to unknown plants and herbs with healing properties that may be used in modern day medical science.

No. For you and your life whatever you believe must be right, it's your life. I accept that you are allowed to believe whatever you want and in your own life you may be right. You are doing the criticizing by telling me that my beliefs are wrong in my life. Explain how that is not arrogant

I see what you're saying, and I apologize if you feel judged by me in any way. That's not my intent. When you claim things as truth people start to get bent outta shape because truth means that someone has to be wrong. I do believe that to be true, but its not at all my intention to make you feel judged for your beliefs. I honestly harbor nothing ill towards you or anyone in here. We're simply having a two sided argument where both sides think they're right. That's the definition of an argument, and all I'm trying to do by participating is show people the viewpoints of my side of it. The miracle I described earlier was something that had just happened and I wanted to see how folks would respond to something that simply can't be explained scientifically. Jesus rose from the grave 3 days after he died on a cross, so the bible is full of examples of this.

The same way a bone that shouldn't have been able to grow grew. It was God's intention for Jonah to do His will, and God made a way for that to happen. Yes that sounds very obtuse, but in my mind, it's also true. I've seen plenty of instances of this in my own life. Circumstances, when we ask, are nothing to God.

I agree and you have been the least pushy. But none of the evolutionists have said that you need to believe the same way we do. You have your own freedom of choice, that is the beauty of our country. Most of the bible pushers think it is ok to tell everyone else that they need to believe the same way or they will suffer, either from not being able to be happy or that we will burn in hell. While you may think that is true, as you said this is a thread to introduce arguments on evolution vs creationism. It is NOT a thread for you to push your agenda and tell others how they need to live

Haha thanks man. I can honestly say it was so much harder running from God than accepting His love and plan for my life. I went through a period of about a year running from God, and it did everything but kill me. I tried to do that myself a few times, also miraculous that I wasn't successful, rode out into traffic on my bicycle and got nailed by a car doing 45 and walked away without a scratch, then that night took 18x the dosage of hydrocodone and didn't even get a stomach ache.

I'll try to say this again, because I really want to get this point across well. For the evolutionists, there is no risk in not believing we came from mush, or a Big Bang, or apes, or anything. That just makes me ignorant.

But from the creationist pov, the risk for YOU is death. And I just plain don't want that for anyone. ESPECIALLY someone with a Tacoma :p

What if you believe there is a God , as in creator of the universe , but just not the narrowly defined , take it or leave it , you're going to burn for all time if you don't believe I'm the real God , God as described by you guys ?

Make no mistake... I'm not making fun of her illness just pointing out the fact of the ridiculousness of your statement.
