I have a soft top tonnaeu cover which makes my bed not very secure. How do some of you carry a long gun or guns in your Tacomas?

    I have a hard tonneau.

Depends on the weapon, but usually in a pelican case either behind the driver's seat (access cab) or in the bed.

If I'm driving straight thru they go under my soft tonneau. If I'm planning on stopping, they go behind the front seats on the floor-in cases.

In a case on the seat, or under the seats in the jack compartment if no case.

In a gun case and underneath the soft tonneau cover with a locked tailgate.

I just lay them across the back seat on the way to the range.

Keep ammo in a separate container.

just in the backseat, there's usually enough jackets back there to pad them...
most the time everything is in a soft case anyways

    BUILT, not bought...
Handgun goes in between seat and console.

Rifles/shotguns + ammo in the bed.

Ammo never leaves the handgun, and there always one chambered.

my Nagant fits perfectly in the storage under the back seat. I lay a towel in there then nest the rifle in it. you wouldn't even know it's in there.

On the front seat/propped against the front seat because its a single cab. If I'm driving down a really rough road or I'm taking several guns they all go in soft cases behing the seats. Handguns I'll just throw behind the seat in a case unless I'm driving in town. Then their exposed on the front seat because most cops are pretty strict on guns here in california.
