I will say i had a friend who i race bikes with - he hit a tree 4th gear pinned trying to dodge a kid in the trail. His dad was a little ways back on the trail. When his dad reached him "Dallas" was gone. No pulse etc.... His dad began CPR regardless. After a few seconds Dallas came back to life and i happily ride with him today. Now i asked him what is was like to die etc...

His answer: Just like waking up from a nap....

It's funny you mention moses because in Egypt, there's ancient writing dated way before B.C. that has a story about moses.

So his oh-so intelligent plan needs a little modifying sometimes, got it. but if it needs modifying then how is it "all knowing"?

It's more than fair, and in your advantage. Ask me to back up my scientific claims at any time, and I will gladly do the homework and find you the credible source that it came from. With facts and evidence.

You proved my point for me, thank you. Assuming that we go to heaven IS speculation. Nothing more. Without evidence that ANYONE has gone to heaven or ever will, how do you expect rational and intelligent folks to believe that it can happen by anything other than blind faith?

So because things are IN the bible you don't believe them? Dead Sea scrolls? No? Nothing? Some of the oldest documents we have in the world today, what you would call 'historical records' by any measure, but because of what book it's in it's dismissed? That's hardly science my friend.

lol sorry for this: but what are the dead sea scrolls?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea_Scrolls

he Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of 972 texts discovered between 1946 and 1956 at Khirbet Qumran in the West Bank. They were found in caves about a mile inland from the northwest shore of the Dead Sea, from which they derive their name.[1] The texts are of great historical, religious, and linguistic significance because they include the earliest known surviving manuscripts of works later included in the Hebrew Bible canon, along with extra-biblical manuscripts which preserve evidence of the diversity of religious thought in late Second Temple Judaism.
The texts are written in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Nabataean, mostly on parchment but with some written on papyrus and bronze.[2] The manuscripts have been dated to various ranges between 408 BCE and 318 CE.[3] Bronze coins found on the site form a series beginning with John Hyrcanus (135-104 BCE) and continuing until the First Jewish-Roman War (66–73 CE).[4]
The scrolls have traditionally been identified with the ancient Jewish sect called the Essenes, although some recent interpretations have challenged this association and argue that the scrolls were penned by priests in Jerusalem, Zadokites, or other unknown Jewish groups.[5][6]

"Way before BC"? Time, as I'm aware of it, is only listed in BC and AD. Before Christ and "after Christ" when translated. So anything before BC is actually still in BC. Just a technicality.

Anyways, what ancient writings are you speaking of? Can you provide references because I'd like to read up on that. I am fascinated with the Exodus as much as I am with Genesis and Revelations.

Ok, so basically you are saying that Everybody, Jews, Muslims, Hindu, etc. who doesn't believe exactly what you believe will be going to hell? How do you explain that?

For me personally, the reason I get annoyed with this topic is the fact that evolution is an extremely complicated, involved process but the people who argue against it rarely ever seem to understand it. I'm not calling anybody stupid, I'm just saying that what seems like a majority of the time people don't want to learn anything new.

I guess I'm trying to say IMO faith and science are completely separate, a scientist can have faith in something but I feel like it never works out the opposite way.
