It's an old bigoted quote. More atheists have died for your freedom in this world than you'd like to acknowledge. (I'm sure you'll tell me "1 died for your freedom on the next")

you have no understanding of the bible...it's content or context. and have publicly stated you have zero desire to read it or learn...

so, why would you ask this question? moreover, why would anyone try to answer it?

    Perspective.

From mine, he understands it much better than you. He sees it for what it is, a story of fiction and kind of a shitty one at that. The main character is a narcissistic control freak that deserves to be rebelled against.

so if one reads a science book, or math book, or news paper...it's your perspective that another who has never read it could have a better understanding of it?
    who is this "main character"?

    Seriously Larry

Did man create religion(s) or did God ?

and if they are based on God's word and principles , how is it that only the Bible believers got the right message ?

Ok so if he is out of logic, time, and what we believe as reasonable is it possible that he revealed himself to you as christian because that is the only way you would believe it as truth? And it could be possible that in other regions of the world he reveals himself in a different form because that is the only thing they will accept as truth. If he is as you say, then you cannot deny that is possible, because nobody can make sense of his boundaries. For you to say the way he has revealed himself to you is the ONLY possible way for him to reveal himself completely contradicts that

Actually yes, I believe it is possible to have a better understanding of a book regardless of the type without reading it entirely. For the record, the book we are talking about, I have read in its entirety.

If someone wrote a book about a piece of toast and how they have decided to worship it and obey its laws ... I could have a better understanding of that book than someone who has read it front to back.

If someone wrote a "math" book titled 2+2=5. I also would have a pretty good understanding of that book.

The main character is God and his "lambs" and in the new testament Jesus Christo. I see where your going, arguably other people are talked about more in the old testament but imo he is the main character.

    Too many to list now.
Except you're forgetting that He declares in his own words that the bible is the only absolute truth. That would contradict what He's already spoken. The only thing that God absolutely cannot do is change His character or nature. That's where we get the term immutable. He is constant.

So God does not know whether or not you are going to follow Him....got it

What else does God not know?

But I thought God controlled everything in the universe? If he created it and gave us free will...
But will torment you for all eternity of you don't do exactly what he wants

    isnt that.... not free will?
