Can you guys see my sig? I was talking to Batman about making a new sig to rep Skinkwerks better and right after that it appears to have broke... haha What a coincidence... haha

 

Weird! All the other pics on here seem to be working except my sig pic...

 

WOOT WOOT! Glad you like it! Anytime it breaks, send it my way, I've repaired lots of those. Had 12 at once one time, sold them off... It was a business for a while.

BMW proposed a twincharger for the next gens.... idk what happened to that

theyve already moved away from the high-revving naturally aspirated engines

Turbos are the way of the future.

Twin charging could be too once cost comes down.

 

smaller twin turbos are starting to become the go-to

I just want to see someone nail the twincharge system. I've seen aftermarket systems but nothing from the big names yet

Yea cause no one wants to go with straight sixs again for some reason..probably size. More torque from them tho..

And I know a supra guy that fitted a TRD supercharger to his 7mgte with a larger t4 turbo too. Awesome torque curve.

The idea is fantastic. I'd make a sts work with TRD sc if I could afford it haha but yea..costs so much.

 

S/c for low end, turbo for high end

My boss has one of the turbo'd corvairs. I had no idea they were in cars that early, but did know they had been on planes since WW1. It's interesting to note how much of the fighter aircraft power mods have trickled down to the automotive market, albeit decades later.

 

Urd sells the Rotrex belt driven turbo's. Best of both worlds!

 

It always works that way. Big name compare stuff or military/space stuff then decades later we get it haha

Why it's tragic they are cutting space exploration budgets and NASA.

But that is crazy. Didn't think they showed up till late 70s.

Either way. Turbos are gonna be on everything soon. They are just so efficient.

 

Still a supercharger. It's dependent completely on the rpms still.

There is a turbo that is belt driven with a clutch system that when the exhaust gains the velocity to out spin the belt it takes over.

I have a variable vane turbo on the Duramax. Love it! No lag to speak of, and you can use it as a hillbilly jake brake.

 

Oh is that the one that like changes the exhaust housing A/R ratio or so,ething like that?
