Hey babytruck, that's a pretty mean looking tow hook. Does it raddle around or make noise?

 

Lil bit. Only on driveways or on speed bumps. You can use some sort of shim I suppose as the dealer suggested but I kind of like the sound.

 

Nice, I was gonna do something like that, but now I have the all pro rear plate number with the hidden hitch behind the license plate so, oh well. Actually I still have to cut out some square holes for back up lights and then off to powdercoat.

 

Anyone else gonna be in Tahoe this weekend?

We were thinking about a hike. Maybe do part of it, we won't have time to do the whole 6 hours. Thanks for the info.

And scratch the nude beach lol. I'll have the wife and kid.

 

Not sure, meeting some friends in South Lake, probably beach and rum runners on Sat, and Echo Lake on the way out on Sunday.

 

It should be pretty busy up there this weekend with Tough Mudder being this weekend, probably a good idea to avoid North Shore.

If you want to 4wheel a bit, the trail to Ellis Peak. You might stripe the truck as there's heavy brush in places. If you're pressed for time, the easy way is to drive up Barker Pass Road and go from there.

Guide to NorCal Backroads has directions for the trail and you can find a lot of the trails in the book on-line.

I'd also vote for Mt. Tallac and DL Bliss.

 

FYI. If you're going to Tahoe, this is the Death Ride weekend so all of the passes near Ebbets will be closed during the ride (Monitor, Carson, etc). Markleville will also be pretty jacked up.

 

That's an easy one: My backyard. At least, the lake in my backyard. Looks like it still has some water flowing in even though the lake has been dropping.

Couldn't get on the Internet yesterday because my wife was in surgery for her knee (2nd one on this knee). Overall, this surgery was better than the last two.

 

For an easy family hike/walk in Tahoe, visit lower (drive to) and upper (walk on a dirt/gravel road but has some hills at the upper falls) Glen Alpine Falls behind Fallen Leaf Lake (the drive alone is fun on the one lane road LOL). The falls should still be bookin'.
