So what firestick antenna do you guys recommend? I killed mine when I went wheeling with Ben last time. That thing was pretty flexible but the tree hit it right at the base and snapped it...

I can fold mine until the top touches the bottom and it was fine. It was the hit right at the base that killed it though. Base might be a weak spot I guess.

Oh ok yeah that makes sense then.

And what did it end up being that was the culprit for the CB?

Well I would stick to either Wilson flex or a firestik firefly (I recommend Firestik).

You also forgot to mention that the street got your tailgate too

No spring... Mine was so flexible that I hadn't needed a spring. Seems like that was literally the only way to break mine. I have had tree branch abuse the hell out of it and it has been fine until that cedar tree caught it at the base.

That one was a Wilson Super Flex...

Yeah that tree tagged my tail gate a little. haha

No, no, no! haha See above!

Good luck stealing my tailgate. It weighs like 70lbs, plus it has a hose clamp on one side and one of those compression struts riveted in on the other side so it doesn't slam down when you open it and I have one of those electric pop n lock things (can't remember the other brand now) that locks with the keyfob.

Dyno power lock was what I was trying to think of. haha

Yeah, I am a believer there. haha. I want a folding mount as well I think.

When Chris was still on here (Idaholandho) he was sick of firesticks. He had broke way too many of them. I think he picked up the same Wilson Super Flex I did, but know idea how it has held up now, if he is even using it that is.

good luck stealing mine, you have A unlock the swing away and B figure out how to open my swing away :p

than you have to get the hoseclamps off that face down which dont have access from under neath anymore as I put a screw on cover, hahahaha

That is what I worry about though... Would be cool to find one with a locking pin or something.
