I understand that, how do you think the ruger comes in in its price range, had one guy telling me it's probably the best in that price range.

I'm jumping back and forth between getting the ruger, getting one of the sig 1911s, and getting a rock island and another gun for carry. I'm really leaning towards the sig right now, I've shot the ruger and it was great, the sig that I held today was really nice though too.

The Sig was their 1911 nightmare, all black with stainless accents, really nice.

I got to hold one of the regular and one of the fast backs one after the other, the fastback felt better in my hand

Starting my own collection. My dad has many glocks and rifles but I decided to start investing in my own because my pride got the best of me haha but here are my first two pistols, Glock 34 and Glock 35 competition models. 3.5 lb triggers and compensated barrels with extended slide and mag release.

sig has traditional slide models...and in their price range Sigs have the fewest MIM parts...and they have external extractors(more reliable and why JMB put them on the hi power)

I think that I keep leaning towards the ruger now, I just wish that they made a blued model, that is the only thing keeping me from getting the ruger

Message me when you get to bristol, can't offer you lodging or anything, but I can recommend a couple restaurants etc...

I need to learn coatings anyways, I think I'm gonna try durabake on my ithaca 37. Need to chop the barrel down first though.

On a side note, anyone got ahold of one of the new ithaca 1911s? The reviews I've seen say they are really nice.
