Hey Guys I ordered the IFS skid from ATO about a week and a half ago and it just got to my door. It arrived much faster than I had expected seeing how the site said 2-3 weeks before it even ships.

First impression, this thing is stout! Made of 1/4" plate vs 3/16" like many of the competitor's skids. It weighs in at about 74lbs and looks to be made very well. The welds look like good MIG welds and bends look to be done by a press break. So far so good. Now I need to paint it then get it on the truck and see how she rides. I will post more pics after I get it up on the truck.

By the way, that is my size 13 flip flop in front of it for size comparison.

Yep, the thing in beastly. Lesser vehicles will present no threat to your taco's delicate undersides.

Just a note - you'll need to pull the stock skid AND the braces for the stock skid off. If you leave the braces on, the ATO skid won't fit and you'll be an idiot.

    Says me, an idiot. ;-)

Thanks for the heads up. I did some research a while back ago and about read that. I am glad they didn't try to reuse those flimsy braces as they would be the Achilles heel.

haha I was lazy so I just kicked my shoe in front of it for reference...

Got bored this evening so I decided to start painting my skid. It was 102 outside when I got off work so laying down on the pavement and installing the thing was out of the question. I dont know what it is about the TRD logo that draws me in but I decided to make an attempt to put the logo on my skid.

I painted the backside black with multiple coats of black Rustoleum then painted the front section red and began prepping the logo. I went back and forth on the size and ended up with this.

ran out of light so I will paint it black tomorrow. If it sucks I will just paint over it.

I will probably destroy the logo the first time I go wheeling but at least it will look nice for a little bit!

Seems to have turned out alright

Painted black over the logo then painted with bed liner.

Installed the skid very slowly and avoided dropping it on my head...
