What is the average cost to get them welded? I have some 4xinnovation sliders and going to get them welded on soon. Just want to know some prices at a welding place or to pay my friend that welds. Thanks for the help.

I checked with a few shops around Seattle and they all wanted $250-$300, hence sliders are under my bed waiting for a better price to roll around.

Around a $100 for a standard install, however the 4XI sliders require more than standard welding for an install. All the legs/gussets/mounts need to be welded before the sliders can be welded to the truck, therefore will cost more for an install.
I'd personally say around $200 for it with the sliders being basically 1/2 built as shown in the pics.

The installer will need your truck, need to measure and determine where to weld the legs to the rails, then weld the gussets and mounts on, and then finally weld them to the truck. Easily a 3 hour job

I was talking to my friend that welds today and he said if I weld on frame it's going to end up rusting and in the long run ruin my frame from rust. What do you think? He said bolt on would be better.

3" rough country spacer lift, mastercraft wild cat AT2, dual pipe magnaflow, billet grill, rocker guards(?), weld kit front plate winch bumper, 4x55w hella black magic 500's, k&n cold air intake, black badges, smoked OEM tails, bestop supertop,
I have done 2 sets of those 1 set for tacodog I turned the weld kit into bolt on and the other set was a direct weld on for greysled.
Welding on the frame will be fine as long as u prime and paint the welds afterwards, ie: toyota welds the frame at factory... paint=no rust...
If I did anymore of them id charge 200 minimum, they were kinda a pain.

Sure, if you weld anything it will rust. This why you paint if afterwards.

You gotta be an idiot to not paint a welded frame.

He was talking about the actual frame part that you're covering with slider. you cant paint that once the slider is on.

Remove mudflaps, Plasti dip badges/ lower val/ and grill, Plasti dip wheels, 5% tint all around, Tinted tails and 3rd, 55w driving lights in rear, Blue LED light strip in bed, Blue LEDs in cab/ cup holders...
As long as its welded properly the only places subject to rust will be the exposed areas.

Agreed, just paint the frame good where the welds are and you're good. Periodically check for any flaked paint or rust starting and touch it up to prevent it from getting worse should any occur. Also, dont forget the inside of the frame rails where the welds are, the paint gets burnt off on the inside of the rails and I'd venture to guess that a lot of people dont even consider looking on the back side of the frame to touch it up.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
He needs to full weld the plate on no stitches. A lot of non truck/ non Off road welders will say stitches are just fine and they are for a holding the sliders on. But when welding to the frame you need to fully weld so water can't get behind the plates and you will be fine.

That said for those sliders i would charge $200.00 bucks because if all the extra work involved with setting the legs and angles.
