I really want to go but I only have 6 weeks of summer and need to get as much farm work done as possible... hopefully next year and moab though!

 

I ended up not liking the combination I had with a smaller spring. So I took them both off and went with a strong spring and never put the hinge thing back on. Don't really need it either, I only run the antenna when I'm wheeling anyways, so no need to lay it down. Plus, I seem to recall it was a challange to get a good SWR with the hinge on there. Not sure what that was about.

IIRC, you ordered one before saying anything otherwise you'd have it now.

 

Ugh, all of this talk about cb's makes me want to order my setup. But I won't even have my antenna mount if I do. Haha

The speedway blue Tacomas are growing on me, especially after seeing this one.

Yeah that one looks pretty sexy! Mine will have a tube front later this year and more skids....maybe next year a hc rear

 

It would be on my list of choices when deciding what color to get a secong gen in if they still offered it...

Haha I was going to get the Cobra 75, but Ben told me not to get it.

I'm tempted to buy it now, but since I'm going to spend some money on some other stuff tomorrow it'd probably be best not to...

 

Um I would get two 90 adapters one for the antenna side and the other for the back of the radio. Make sure your mounting hole is a 3/8" hole and not a 1/2". The K-4 will not fit the 1/2" hole. Other than that looks great.

 

Lol I did that for about.... Hmmmm.... 4 months until I finally decided to set it up. Kinda hard to pull the trigger on something you barely use.

Your welcome. And if your hole is a 3/8". I will ship you my K4 mount. I don't need it and it will save you a few bucks

I got a Wilson HD mount and it accommodates a 3/8" and 1/2" hole. Plus has more surface area on the mount. I am running a 5' firestik FSII with no spring but only 2feet is above my rig.

Yup, that's why I don't even bother with it anymore...

My whole truck will look clean, then my tires are ugly gray.

 

I have mequiars tire gel, came with a paint cleaning kit. I've used it once and it only lasted for about a week before it turned gray again.

 

True, I plan to wash my truck tomorrow. I'll try it again and see.
