hmm... maybe ill postpone the cv change then

 

I think the front axle nut is a 35 or 36mm..I was surprised when I went to install mine and had to go shopping.

 

Well I for see everything getting dirty on wed so oh well

 

oOo...so id have neither. my honda took 32mm. so phil, like me and nate said, the front axles arent in so much trouble, atleast wont be for awhile. every fwd car ive bought had torn boots with zero grease in the cv by the time i got them. that was always my excuse to drop the asking price a couple hundred...but really who knows how long theyve ran it like that. atleast with our tacomas, that front axle isnt part of the main driveline.

 

yeah im not too worried about it. I was just hoping to get everything back to perfect again haha but its ok. So tomorrow ill definitely be starting on the rear end. ill try to get to the front around 2pm im guessing. hopefully by done with everything by 6 before it all gets dark.

 

I'll try my best to be there when you do the front, but I probably won't be free till mid afternoon.

Didn't get as much as I needed done on the fences today. But the front fence is 95% done. Just have to chop the pipes, and do the 7ga wire on the left side of it.

Anyone know if there's a place locally that will rebuild Icon shocks, I haven't called around yet just thought I'd ask here first.

DJSPEC i saw ur truck today at firestone. looks awesome, i noticed the bullys on the hood brackets. i though about making a set. are they worth it?

 

Can anyone recommend a good shop in town to do a proper alignment on Tacomas? I will be installing a lift kit some time within the next week. I'm getting my tires from Goodyear Kaneohe mounted on my stock Sport rims. Can they do the alignment properly or should I go somewhere else?

 

I have been using island brake and alignment in pearl city, great service and no complaints from me. I'd do the lift, drive I get alignment on old tires, then swap to new ones. Or find a shop that can do it all. Island brake and alignment also provides the printout sheet to take to recon permit station.
