I agree however nobody wants to hire a troublemaker either. I work with a guy who ratted out his former employer to the labor board and took them to court. The employer was clearly in the wrong. They got a slap on the wrist. He didn't make out so good. Honest hardworking guy with a stellar previous employment history and good references. Took him YEARS to find a good job with that black mark in his history and he was doing the right thing. Like I said pick your battles.

Fortunately I work for a company that not only has cameras but when a few trees started dropping acorns and dinging hoods in the parking lot they cut the trees down and paid for repairs.

That sucks, but living in a world where you get punished for standing up for yourself shouldn't mean we relegate our issues to the internet.

Just got a new truck and someone hits it and doesn't own up to it must suck, but it sucks a lot more to be okay with that and let it slide.

Same personality who gets an oil change and has $50 swiped from his glove compartment and thinks that's fine because they must need it more than him.. so weak it's shameful.

If your employer does not have your back on this then it also would be a good idea to find a new employer:mad:

The employer has nothing to do with it. What if it was a shared lot and the dude worked for another company in the same spot. Just cause they work for the same place doesn't mean the employer is responsible in any way.

damn.. nice dent..yep have the reported to the cops and ins . make that asshole pay it.
If you really want the pay back which is a bitch.. I had it seen it done on my coworkers before. Just jack the rear axis up a bit where tires barely touching the pavement. when she or he ready to take off.. the rear end diff will burn the shit out plus the brakes.

F-ing scum make me sick. What a P.O.S.

If this chit ever happens to you call the police immediately so they can investigate the scene of the accident and document the incident. The OP made a huge mistake by leaving the scene himself. Police may not even take a report after the fact. Then you can forget anyone paying for anything besides you and your deductible.

Behead the offender and mount the severed head to the hood of your truck.

Nobody fucks with the dude with a severed head on his truck.

In Texas if the damage is less the 500 the cops won't file a report. Had some one rear end my truck, cops didn't even file a report after I found the person the person that ran into my truck

Dude first thing to do is CALL THE POLICE! and get a report filed. your insurance is going to ask. Your work can't do anything to him unless they have video or a witness, that is a hugh issue with HR. you can't accuse with out proof. You company is not going to open themselves to a possible law suit by this AHole.

That repair is easy $1200.00 to 1500.00 and you said the truck is new. unless you have the worst insurance company they will use new Toyota parts on a new truck.

I read this and can't help but think that the guy may have shelled up because it was supervisors who were confronting him. Meaning: he had more reason to deny since he may have perceived his employment was at risk for a mistake he made.

Maybe if you talk to the guy directly things could work themselves out in your favor. If that doesn't work, call the cops; but I would start by leaving my phone number and a note on his windshield and have a civil conversation with him. Running to the guys door with pitchforks and torches isn't the solution to everything.

Have your employer find out who his insurance carrier is then file a claim with them. Meanwhile notify your carrier. He/she doesn't get to deny your claim. Make sure you have pictures. You might be surprised and get a settlement. If you have already repaired your truck then file the bill with them. DON'T THREATEN LEGAL ACTION!!!!. You can blind side them later with a lawsuit or depending on the state your ins. carrier may take them to arbitration....

    Good luck....
