well I guess I could sell all my factory parts but, having the option is so nice, + I dont want my diff to be the weak spot.... I'd still rather snap an axle vs the diff... from what I can see the Solo kit will probably add the beef that we all want, but cause the weak spot to be transfered

Tough its still a tough call, Both VERY good designed kits

pretty much where I'm at, and I love SFA but ill wait until I can build a smaller rig for a wicked little solid axle rig

Yeah I would have to swap out my ecu, harness, replace engine with pre-2001 (01-02 are DBW). pull out the hydro boost brake system, Convert to a tcase speed sensor.

Just too much work/money to SAC this one. So I will later get a 99-00 and do it on that one.

    more cool pics to come.
I got winched off of the same obstacle twice today lol! And banged my shit on a lot of stuff, and dragged my pumpkin a lot. I was supposed to "take it easy" with me effed wheel bearing but that didnt happen. I drove hard. Impressed a few people too. Towards the end I had a couple jeep guys tell me they couldnt believe what I took my truck through today. Took all the hard lines, didnt really need that much spotting except on the spots everyone did. Showed em all how the toyota guys do it

Its all good... I knew as soon as I saw the first obstical that I was going to catch my bumper. Going down I just dented the rear bumper but coming up is when I Bradyed it...and about right in the middle of the trail I took an easy line and had a nice size rock roll towards the truck as I was going over it and it kicked up and dented the left rear bed side pretty damn good. So all of damage was on the left rear. Had a fucking blast! Need armor for that trail though.

With a high clearance rear it won't even show :p haha

You can look at Jason's CBI to get an idea at Morrison. You could see my dads bruteforce one too if you came to powell after leg one. I think we will even be installing it that night for lander the next day lol

I'm out, I think. Too much homework between now and then. If this was like, the last week before I left, than I could see myself making a huge push and finishing a week early. But I can't justify taking the time and not having the classes done, and there is no way on earth I can get it all done in July, before the trip.

I'm sorry guys. I really wanted to come.

I haven't even been on here, I've been so busy. it's crazy. I don't have any more free time left this summer. I don't even think I'll have time to sand and rust treat my rig.

Monte: I would still like to get my valve covers and wiring done, at least the valves, so that I can drive to college.

In the end, it's a no brainer - get classes done so I can go to college, or go for five days and potentially off-put a semester? I've put too much work into this..

I'm really sorry guys. I was really looking forward to meeting you all, and taking pictures with Lisa! :(

You can get it done man. Just put in the extra work. Just buckle done and do it.

But if your not going then yes I'm sure we can do the valve cover gaskets.

bah. I want to. I'm so lazy though. and I'm already pushing myself. If I get enough done this month, I'll certainly try. But I'm definitely a maybe/no at this point.

    Guess we'll see.
