Not sure. Ive always held them up by the tail, and sprayed them with the hose.

you're gonna have to spend more on laundry detergent to get the skid marks out of your underpants. The savings would be negligible.

I worked overseas for many, many years. In some of the third world countries where I lived it is very common to forgo toilet paper.

Instead, bathroom facilities are equipped with either an auxiliary hose or an upward facing spout within the toilet. The hose or spout is turned on with a separate valve and used to flush off one's private parts before flushing the toilet.

It is actually quite effective and very sanitary... and saves you from getting a sore butt, as well as saving buck$ on toilet paper.

My family and I became so accustomed to using this methodology, that upon returning to the U.S., I installed similar devices in all the bathrooms of our home. No joke! I purchased some kitchen sink spray hoses and installed them with a 'T' in the water supply line to the toilet along with a PVC shut-off valve. The spray nozzle end of the hose hangs on a hook adjacent to the toilet. It works great!:)

...Just a little worthless information to go along with an equally worthless thread.:D
