Sounds like good advice to me. I don't think I want to take any jumps that hard again for a while...

This was the jump that caused the CEL to come on. It was the last of like 10 jumps today. This one and the one before it were pretty hard landings... the other two weren't too bad.

13.8 to 14.5 normal range guess i should have completed that statement.

ARP wheel studs is all. Everything else is stock. I have almost 30,000 miles on them, haven't changed the wheel bearings yet! :D

    A) You need a cage and five points. Really, I'll even help you build it. I like doing stoopid sh!t too, and I wouldn't listen to people that told me the same thing until I had a close call. Like 6" of dirt on the hood from a digger at 85 mph with my wife riding shotty close call.

    B) Your truck will break expensive parts if you continue doing that with your suspension setup. I know, I went through motor mounts sinking into the frame, oil pans, transmissions, several U-joints etc until I figured it out. I am also aware you won't listen to me lol.

    C) At least wear a helmet and have a first aid bag and fire extinguisher nearby with someone trained to use it. I know, I know, F this guy he's some old focker who's bitching about my cool ass jump vid. Got it. Just hate to see such a fine truck as yours get wadded up over something as silly as a few hundred bucks worth of DOM.

Yes you do. Show up in my driveway with a box of Corona and a couple hundred feet of 1.75"x .120 wall DOM and we'll get to work. Or I'll drink your beer and show you the ways of the grinding disk, one of the two.

Lol its just sitting there, I plan on making some thin metal mounts that bolt to the inner door jams, then bend over the top and bolt the the light bar. But i can tell you this thing is freaking bright as heck! Lights up stuff at over im guessing 400 ft away.

Stop hatin' on me old man!! J/K haha

Not sure I am ready for a cage yet... I think my wife would freak if I hacked up my interior for a cage right now... haha Plus I don't know that I need anymore weight... I am already about 6000lbs with me and a passenger in the cab...

As for the expensive parts breaking, I realize that... I have a power steering pump dying on me I think (from crawling), and I am amazed I still have intact motor mounts.

Never been a fan of helmets for anything... Hate even wearing mine in the Army...

When I go to the dunes I am pretty picky about what I choose to hit. This spot is pretty much the only spot I will jump because it has a nice smooth run way, with a nice, not too steep slope at the bottom to catch air on and it has a kind of up hill/flat landing so I am falling a minimum distance so I don't gain too much speed falling. This is pretty much the only spot I will jump and I will just jump it several times in a row. I think from now on I will just keep it in 4Lo, that way I am speed limited at 42 mph. The two hard jumps I did, were in 4Hi and I backed up as far as I could so I was doing high 50's, low 60's when I caught air. Never had any close calls on it in the 50+ jumps I have done there now, just some hard landings here and there. haha

Thanks for the advice though. I listen to most everything you have to say. haha I would love to show up at your place with my rear LT setup and have you help me put it all together, but I just haven't got the stuff yet:ballchain:

If your tires leave the ground... You are ready for a cage.

    it only takes once...

Safety first man. And kind of offroading where you are at risk of flipping you should have atleast something in there. I get it most people think they wont flip their truck. Ive had 2 specific "oh Shit" moments and neither of them were on jumps. I almost Endo'd the truck on both occasions and i would have been dead.

Brady, you drive that sumbitch hard for what you got on it lol! Drive it like you stole it I guess :D I've rolled one truck in my life and was really lucky to not come out of it a dead man. Crawling out of an upside down truck is something you will likely only do once if that... I will have a cage before I do anything stupid like the last time. Give it some good thought man
