Your hitting jumps like that at 60 and don't think you need a cage? I know I need a cage and I don't like to jump going over 40.

Grey wire MOD, deck plate, diff breather MOD, 2nd gen. OME 883# on Tundra 5100's, OMD custom 3" leafsprings, rear shock relocation, Ivan Stewart TRD rims w/285/75/16's, '02 bumper MOD, Famous Fabrications sliders , LED interior/exterior lights, bed bar, Custom tube bumper, Old school KC day lighters,Red Ring 8" HID flood, Kenwood vhf 2M.. umm some other shit I'm forgetting right now
I'm not LT & don't mob really but this cage issue is a good topic, here in san diego I joined TW & it wasn't long before I started doing runs with local guys in ocotillo & most were pretty much stock, ....fast forward to now, a lot of the same guys that were stock then are now LT (or in mid progress) The trucks are now setup to be able to hit it hard over jumps & whoops (& they do) But with all the thought & $$$$ going into suspension the mindset of safety seems to be on the back burner in regards to cages .. It's too late to think about safety when the cab & dashboard are in your lap because you launched at 70mph (doesn't even have to be that fast)

Safety should be hand in hand with the upgrades & MODS done with your truck

Heres an example that I'm no better sometimes, although its not much I knew my spare was unsecured but jumped anyway, not smart on my part, it could've punched my rear glass out, i got away with it .... this time...

Not to mention its one of the best things you can do for your truck handling wise and it will keep you in the seat better, so just having a cage may keep you from crashing. Brady you say it was just a hard landing but when all 4 wheels get back in the air off the rebound you are asking for it

Plus it stiffens the chassis a lot and improves handling. No more limp noodle frame. They also help keep the cab stuck to the frame. There's only what...6 bolts holding it on?

 No thanks. haha The yota was expensive enough.
Like I said I am pretty picky about where and how I jump. I'm not worried about rolling or flipping while jumping. Crawling is a little different story for me though... but a cage just isn't in the works for me at the moment.

Not trying to bash but after that video you need to be worried, doesn't matter how picky your spots are. What would you do if something breaks, or even a tire blows a bead when you are coming off the lip?

Well that could make things interesting... I'm not too worried about popping a bead. Surprisingly it has never seemed to be an issue. Even when crawling at 8psi. I usually run 20 psi in the sand.

As for other stuff breaking, like the UCA or LCA, well hopefully I just hold on for the ride and don't roll... I don't jump very often. I hit the sand once every few months or so but I usually do several jumps when I do go.

Every time I land I keep waiting to see my motor in my rearview mirror though... I need to get some motor mount gussets...

im looking to get new tires soon, options are bfg baja t/a's, pro comp a/t's, general grabbers, so far. it's for my half-ish dd, still debating about going up to 37's...but i feel 35's would be a better choice over all for the time being. what are your guys thoughts, also other tire suggestions would be appreciated.

ya they are but lets say if money wasn't a problem, would the bajas still be a good choice?
