Hey everyone. Have any of y'all used DURACOAT to paint your factory rims? I've used it on firearms, but that's all. I appreciate any information. Thanks.

Well, working for a call phone company, I am blessed with a free Android, so Google Maps and Navigation I always have, but we see required to be on a blue tooth if we are driving.

I also wonder how the touch screen is going to work with my factory iPod interface, it might even make it easier!

Honestly my biggest motivation is the sales deal "if I qualify" 0 to 36 months is zero interest, then just 1.9 for the year after that, and I'll get the auto RC to score the buckets.

Heck if they have great numbers I could end up in an AC or DC, lol...

I'm just not sure if I want the 4cyl or the 6 in the AC.

Honestly, if you are going to go with an ac or dc, I would just get the 6cyl. I love the reg cab 2.7l but i think it only works in that set up. I test drove all three with both 4cyl and 6cyl access cab and double cab and it just didn't feel like the 2.7l had enough power to handle the added weight (comfortably). I ended up with my reg cab because its what I could afford at the time. I can say, however, that my next truck will be a dclb trd 4.0l tacoma. I will never need another truck ever again. It is the perfect truck for what I need it for. I loved it when I test drove it.

Yea I got a 2013 RC with bucket seats and touch screen stereo. The BT seems to work good and the USB for my iPod is nice. I guess you could put what you want on a thumb drive as well. Can't find mine right now to try. Thing for me was I wanted to to fit in my small garage and get decent MPG along with price. They had a AC with the 2.7 and I drove it but didn't notice much difference. To small to put anyone back there only good for storage. I just got a matching top for the bed. The AC also had plether seats which I did not care for and the color was not what I wanted. Had to be 4X4 and most of the ones I looked at with the V6 were over 30K and the MPG was not much different than the tundra. Even with the stock tires this little truck has done well on he beach and other places. There was a time or two I thought I was not going to make it when water and mud came up over the bumper but the little truck just crawled right through it like it was no big deal.

    1-4 on that,
The reason I want to try and trade up is to save some money and lower my overall payment,

Which I should find out today if I qualify for the sales deal through SETF, the dealer I am going to for the service today has four DCSB V6 trucks in Super White, I am hoping they can keep me near the same payment as my RC, because of the interest difference, :-D

I am going to see what the difference is in the RC with the new interest rate though.

I love an RC but with the possibility of a family starting next year and my sister and family moving back to my area I could really justify having the extra space of a DC.

4 cyl are rare in the AC in a 6lug variant. Really boils down to what do you want to use your truck for. Work and the occasional trail run, or just street.

Looks like I am keeping my RC, :D

Really hope to at least get a leveling kit under the front by this winter when I get some larger meats.

Yeah, we do. Seriously need to shake whatever it is that has gotten in between me and livin'. Friday comes around and I'm just worthless, haven't even hit a bar on the weekend in 2+ months.

But yeah, got 5100 shocks for rear today, installing this week whenever I can.. and wheels thrown on at end of week - definitely need to hit something up. Something unappealing about having a manual transmission on any trails where you can't keep up momentum. I see clutch smoke in my future.

I moved down towards Denver but still always happy to roll up north.

I finally got to the beach, the truck handled it great! It's much better than my jeep was, but of course that had like mickey thompson mudders on there, which royally sucked on the beach, got me stuck a couple times. I think the auto trans probably helps too. The shitty stock tires actually worked great for the beach, lowered to about 20 psi.

Are those delaware beaches? How much is the beach permit?

    I feel ya there, lol...

Thankfully most of the very light dirt trails I may ever see I can use 4Lo and 2nd gear, lol...

Maybe next year the auto with buckets will be in my future.

The 2 year beach permit for delaware was like $160, I think it's more if you're out of state. My dad works in delaware so he gets the resident price. The one year is not that much cheaper so I sprung for the 2 year.

I'd like to get it for my yukon xl, but I don't think that truck has 7 inches of clearance everywhere without cranking the front torsion bars, and I'm not interested in doing that. My dad and I both surf fish, but I haven't been on the delaware beachs before.

Are there any good places along the beach to camp/surf fish north of rehobeth?

North of Rehoboth is Cape Henlopen State Park, which is nice. It can get SUPER crowded on weekends though. Delaware Seashore has more beaches so usually the people are a little more spread out. You're not really allowed to camp on the beach, but on certain ones you're allowed to stay out all night as long as one person is fishing, so you could just take turns sleeping. Or just get a campsite.

Be careful with the yukon out there, I've seen lots of big suvs and huge F250s all loaded up with gear get stuck going over the dune crossings, they are just too heavy for the soft stuff. Or maybe they are at full pressure, I don't know, or both. A lot of people do it anyway though, there is usually other people out there who are happy to give you a tow if you get stuck. Your tacoma would probably fare better on the beach. I've been seeing a lot more subarus out there, guys with big trucks make fun of them but there are probably better off than some giant diesel monster.
