Have no idea how I want to mount the tank.

I'd like to mount it in the toolbox if it will fit with all of my tools.

But it would be nice to mount it in the back corner of the bed for easy access and already be upright. But it be much easier for somebody to steal...

Finally got around to re-organizing my toolbox to put the co2 tank in. Definitely won't be permanent, but it works for now.

I'm just hoping it doesn't get too hot and blow the valve...

I really don't want to pay $40 for a co2 mount for the bed, but I think it's really my best option.

I'm still trying to figure out where and how to mount my co2 tank as well. I think I'll probably pick up one of those brackets and use some chain and pad locks to lock up the tank. I still need to pickup a regulator too so I'm not in a hurry yet

Yeah, I plan to lock mine up as well. The problem is people can still take the regulator and hose...

Putting something around the regulator to protect it would probably make that setup more of a permanent solution so you don't have to worry about breaking the regulator. The only downside is that it will be a pain in the ass to get the co2 tank out of your tool box to air up tire and use your air tools.

That's true. There's probably some way to lock up the regulator and hose though. Can't the hose just be removed and thrown in your toolbox? I'll keep thinking of a way to lock them up lol.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure I'm just going to mount it in the corner, lock the tank up, and hope that nobody decides they want to take the regulator and hose. Definitely wouldn't be easy to do.

I looked at mine, and it seems to be bolted on and with thread tape as well...

Well if I come up with anything I'll let you know lol.

Installing a quick connect would probably be a good idea so you can at least remove the hose. The top piece in the first picture would go to your tank and you can easily connect your hose and other fittings. The 2nd picture is a regulator with one.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying.

Most co2 tanks would have that fitting on the end, but for some reason they put it on like this.

I don't need a regulator, I like having a welder regulator so I can adjust the pressure for when I'm using air tools or air up my tires.

I meant just the quick connect not an entire regulator. Sorry I wasn't more clear  That makes sense, it doesn't look like a quick connect would work on your setup now that I've seen a closer pic.

Oh haha I get what you were saying now.

I guess I could just go to the shop that refills tanks and see what they can do about adding a quick disconnect.

I'll tell ya the best hose to use is the heavy wall white tubing they sell by the box at Homey Depot & Lowes. Every regulator at my company has this tubing attached to it. We run high pressure nitrogen (gas not liquid) all the way down to extra dry breathing air. Its super cheap and comes in a box like 100'.

You wont have to drag you bottle anywhere. Just get a couple of double end barbs.

I already have a 30 or 40 feet hose with it, so that's not an issue. I'll remember that for future reference though!

I think that is a bit high as far as an estimate goes. I'll let you know cause my 20lb tank is still going and its been on three wheelin trips and done 6 fill ups so far. Boxrocket has a 20lb and says it last all season. Didn't get a count as far as how many sets hes filled up.

By 40-60 I mean 40-60 tires being aired up from around 15psi back to 30psi.

    It's a 20lb.

Ended up ordering one of these from wheeler's Offroad for my co2 tank...

About to order all of my stuff for a cb radio, but I have to spent at least $5.33 more to get free shipping. I can't think of anything I need though for under about $50....

Eh, I want to get something I could use versus something for looks...

I bought some auto tire deflators, they were a little expensive but it'll be worth it.

Also ordered all of the stuff I need for a cb radio, hopefully... Haha
