Ohhh that's a beautiful rifle. How do you like the Fortis? I am kinda between that, the Noveske NSR and the Geissele SMR

Can anyone help me with a good set up? I am right handed with the rifle, but I would need site and optics to be left eye dominant. I have never shot an AR with any optics or sites so it might be a non issue. I was always stuck with AR and no site on military issued rifle. It was a pain to say the least to zero. I am trying to get an AR but I am hesitant with my issue, as far as shooting left handed I am really not comfortable and in a truly tactical situation I am not proficient at all. I have heard of ppl offsetting the site or scope, just need some ideas or pics.... thanks!
PS: I hope I explained that properly.

Any 1x holographic sight will work for you just fine - EOTechs are great for this, but you have options as cheap as a $40 BSA to try out the concept. You simply shoot with both eyes open. I am highly cross-dominant and have zero issues shooting an AR with a holosight.

My first AR that I get coated is going to be burnt bronze, along with a remington 1100 with a satin finished wood instead if high gloss, burnt bronze is an awesome color

The reason I say close your eye, because with cross eye dominance, when you zero the sight and close your dominant eye, you might get some POA shift. Try it out. I don't have depth perception, and I have to deal with several funny eye tricks. Everyone is a little different. My girlfriend doesn't have a dominant eye, and it's sometimes a PITA to figure out what is going on with her aiming.

BSA is a manufacturer of cheap red dot sights.

Will, the Fortis is super nice. Even my gunsmith who loves DD rails, actually liked it. For the price, its awesome. Weight is very very light.

I am the same way. I have a PSA upper on a spikes tactical lower. chambered in 5.56. It is a right handed setup but I shoot it left handed because I am left eye dominant. I know that can be dangerous but I still do it. The only other option is to close your left eye before you start aiming.

How is shooting an AR15 left handed dangerous? I am confused on this one.

Same here, right handed and left eye dominant. I shoot right handed on my Aimpoint equiped AR and BUIS for short range (<50m). For scoped firearms I shoot left handed for long range.
Always a good idea to train for both ways, never know if you have to shoot around the left side of a barricade.
Get an Ambi Safety for the AR too, it's a must have item for lefty and "Bi" shooters.

I sell the BAD ASS safeties as I think they are second to none in the ambi department. I have them on all my rifles except my hunting rifles.
