haah brah going up a small incline driveway last night i bent my safety check plate and when i reversed it bent in so now i bent it back its small kine lose:p but naw i think it will be safe notching the crossmember for better clearance and i wanna get something to stiffen the rear but the UCA mod is so my control arm stops touching my coil for a better ride as well as helping the camber a lil

Too bad our trucks weren't able to just be as low as yours without gettin hung up on that damn crossmember! Your truck is perfect at that height other then that fact. Lets see some pictures of that notch when u do it. Sounds scary lol.
Ha ha I was riding my bike in a.d.'s test run before I go somewhere good. Gotta get my controls adjusted how I like. Shit thanks but I was kinda paranoid parking there with all my shit in my truck!!!!! Lol at least all the golf ppl were right by the fence most of the time. Lol could you tell my truck is an inch higher again in the rear :( shes so self conscious about that ha ha.what u just came from Sandys? Next time stop and say whassup if I'm by the truck!!

My sway bar mounting brackets sucked. My sway bar sucked up against my axle and was making my ride weird. So courtesy of hellwig I got some super good brackets at so far don't shift around and stay in place. Very solid craftsmanship thumbs up to those guys. Had to spray the areas my sway bar rubbed my axle with undercoating. Don't mind the extra dirtyness underneath my truck! I didn't realize my handling was suffering till I replaced the old brackets. STOKED!!

I'm still hoping the Roadmaster kit will negate the need for swaybars :D However, I do kind of want the X-brace which I'll probably never find. When I finally got my truck lowered, I thought the bed was crooked (and hence the frame was crooked). When I took it into the shop that did my c-notch, it looked fine!?!?! All I can think of is that the frame really does flex so much that the bed can look crooked some times. Yikes.

You got any other pics of what you had to do to get those rear Dr sway bar mounts to work? I got a dclb and lowered it with the hellwig bar but it still leans more than I'd like. Was looking at the ss sway bar but was bummed thinking I couldn't get it to work. But, it looks like you found a way to mount it. Thanks.

Lol. Well I think it will help but I don't think it will do all that a sway bar will. I know I can feel the difference now that I fixed my bar. I broke those old mounts I was using because my bar kept shifting down then finally I tightened one side to much and the strap broke. Now that I have them in place I feel the little extra control I didn't have. I like it but I wouldn't say your gonna need it. I'd be fine without it but since I like to drive everything I have like a reeetard I wanted these :)

actually they never even touched!!! That damn bolt was the culprit after I removed that I got no prob. I might just tap them upwards a little with a hammer. I only get 18's remember!! Lol plus the Roadmaster keeps me from sagging past that point which is good. I can actually tow a damn bike now lol

actually if you have a hellwig bar setup you should have the brackets I'm using already. Ordered the brackets they use for their kit and just mounted my ss bar to them using their u bolts and bracket that sits on the axle. I just used the strap/bracket that comes with the ss(now xii) bar that goes over the bushing. Had to widen the holes on that just a little with a drill bit since the hellwig u-bolts are a little bigger than the holes in the xii strap. I don't know who's bar is stronger? I'd imagine the xii bar would be more stiff since its made for racing x runners? I would email the xii racing guys and ask them which bar is stiffer and tell them what your trying to accomplish with your double cab. They won't lie to just make a sale. They've been really helpful and honest with me. I can say I'm very happy with it plus there are three modes of stiffness. I'm only on the center hole which is medium stiff. Maybe you can go to the stiffest setting and achieve what you want. Ill try to get more pics but its pretty straight forward.

How hard was it to get the spare tire crossmember rivet out? Was going to order the end link bracket this weekend so I can mock it up. The hellwig sway bar isn't even an inch thick so really going I can get the xii one to fit. The front is a totally different story. The sway mounts to the spindle and not the lower control arm if I recall correctly. Plus I have the urd kit.

    Thanks for the info.

they are kinda of a pain but manageable, i grinded the head flat with a grinder then drilled out the middle, then tapped it out with a sledge hammer and small cold chisel. Grinding the head off flat is a must. Its a pain but worth it for the clean set up for your sway bar. The front xii sway bar bolts right up no problem.

The whole front end suspension wise is totally different. Control arm mount locations, control arms themselves, spindles ... everything. Would've been so much more convenient if they had a four door long bed street version. Was looking for a front sway bar to mock up to see if there's a way to get the fat XII front bar in. But after looking at my coworkers x, don't think it will. Still gonna try go for it on the rear bar though. Thanks for the info. The pics of your build are a big help.
