They would have been more successful in that if they had kept the original Tundra and added a true full-size to the lineup.

Not everyone needs a full size pickup. The next time I'm ready to buy a vehicle, I would consider a 2004-styled Tundra... but not the huge beast they offer now.

Yep and a full size truck isn't cheap. You can get a fully equiped all optioned & acceries 4x4 Taco for around 34k and possibly less if you bargain hard. To do that on the 1/2 ton trucks will run you 45k-50k.

Gee, and I wonder why the manufacturers don't want to sell medium-sized (or smaller) pickups? :(

The new RAM head (Bigland) would have you believe that one can get just as good gas mileage (25 mpg) with their full-sized pickup, as from a small pickup ... and that they just can't see a profit in a $23k pickup. So, why would any one want to buy one?

Not only are they not cheap, but it costs them about that same to send a compact through the line. They want you to buy the full size truck.

I purchased my 2013 and love it, Toyota could really mess up on the 3rd gen since the 2nd gen is pretty awesome !

One thing I wish they did have is more options like leather , a MPG display like the tundra among with a few other minor things.
But other wise its a sweet truck im glad I purchased a 2013 .

Though with gas prices In CT nearing $4 again I wish I opted for a 2.7. I dont haul or tow anything anyways..

I thought the limited had leather. I personally hate it. Hot in summer, cold in winter, and cracks in Texas sun. From what hear MPG displays are not accurate.

    I love my '13.

I'm coming from a 1st gen 4cyl so, yeah the mpg with the V6 is about half but I knew that was going to be the case. Who wouldn't want more mpg? I can live with it though.

The only thing I really wish I had is a cargo light. I know there's a write up on modding a Colorado light, I just can't bring myself to cut the truck. Maybe when it's not so new....

They'd rather sell full size trucks and they're trying to force the public into them by discontinuing mid size trucks. (Ford, GM, Dodge). I was at a car show in Jan. and talked to a Ford dealer. He told me Ford miscalculated their strategy when they discontinued the Ranger. They figured their customers would buy V6 F150's. Some of them did but a lot of them bought Tacomas and Frontiers instead. People still want and need mid size trucks and they're going to buy them from the manufacturers that continue to make them.

Diesel. They can keep the looks and size the same. Don't want anything bigger and I think they're one of the best looking trucks on the road.

Maybe the tail lights, too. I hate the protrusion, particularly on the newer ones with the LEDs / white lenses that really accentuate it.

I don't see the reason for a redesign. You can't fix what's not broken!!

I think it's funny how people are always wanting something more. You will probably be asking for even more after that in 5 more years. Honestly, there isn't much to complain about.

I actually like the look of the 2nd Gen Tacoma. Its one of the two major things that made me order one. I'd be more interested them in improving the inner workings more than the outter. Things like improving gas mileage, larger fuel tank, and 6 speed auto tranny, and etc., Things like that. But that's just me.

The Taco will still be the best-looking midsize pickup in 2015...

I traded in 2009 fx4 ranger for my 2013 tacoma. There was nothing wrong with the ranger. The biggest problem I found with it was that limited space inside knowing that Ford makes a 4 door ranger for Mexican market with a diesel engine. Maybe removing ranger or limiting the options on it yielded more money for f150 for Ford, but they lost this customer.

The only reason I bought a new truck was 2nd row of seats for my kids.

The loss of the terminix fleet sells should have opened Ford's eyes a bit. When they couldn't make the sell on their turbo charged v6 MPG over the Tacoma, someone had to have lost their corner office.
