these are the wheels i wanna get. i drive a 2001 4dr pre-runner. can i use a 15" wheel when the truck came with 16's? will 15x8/31x10.50's be wide enough to even up with the fender flare(going for a little of the "bubble" look) without the a "frog" look.

i know its alot of rookie questions but i dnt wanna make an expensive mistake.

thanks for any advise any pics that might be helpful

I'm pretty sure that the smallest rim you can fit on these trucks is a 16" rim, and even then some of them dont clear the break calipers.

no you would have to go with 16s or higher also make sure that if you get 16s they clear the caliper because some don't

Im running 16s Teflon Chamber and cleared it easily
but make sure to ask if it clears

i would'nt have a problem getting 17's if i had a second gen cause its a bigger truck(in my opinion). i'v seen the look i like on this forum but almost noone lists their tire/wheel size...

has anyone heard anything about this wheel brand... good or bad??????

It'd be so sweet to fit 15s! Tire's are a lil' cheaper that way...

15s fit on first gens, not on 2nd gens. Another reason first gens > 2nd gens.

But like Will said, there are some 15" wheels that don't fit on first gens.
