Thanks for the help man but idk. I really think toytec gave me the wrong bushings. I've searched a ton of times and not a single person has the same bushings as I do on the left. Those little puck looking ones look and feel like body lift pucks but idk.

I'm dropping off the truck tomorrow to get the lift installed. Hopefully everything goes smoothly as far as having the right parts (bushings) or some that will work fine.

Changed the oil and put on a new drain plug so I don't have to mess with the OEM one and get oil everywhere every 6 months.

You can see it better in the 1st picture, but the silver tab comes up and slides (in this case according to the picture) down. That releases the valve and oil comes out of the bottom. You have a small (2-3') clear rubber hose that fits on the bottom of the drain plug so you can direct it right back into your already waiting empty jug -- no need for an oil pan.

In pictures 2&3 you can see the red metal clamp that you have to take off/put back on after each oil change with pliers. This just ensures that the silver tab doesn't accidentally slide over while you're out and about

Great mod IMO, it will make changing the oil an absolute pleasure in the future (not like it was hard to begin with) but still...

Not really saying you cant pull your welds but my experience as a certified professional welder is that in the real world there is hardly ever a reason to pull your welds unless you want them to look like shit all humped up. If material is gapped and beveled push gives nice flat welds and all the penetration you need. Last time i checked most folks at miller dont know there ass from a whole in the ground. At work they are constantly coming in trying to sell us the latest greatest wire, different gas, or some new fangled hi tech machine that is suppose to do it all and it is never what they say it is.

I've been wanting to do this for a while
My reverse lights are so dim that I've had to shine a flashlight out of the window behind me on several occasions while out in the woods

Looks like the one you've got has pretty good reviews on Amazon
Might just pull the trigger on this particular one

How easy was it to tie it into the reverse wiring?

Won't you still be dumping oil on the skid while removing the oil filter?

No because the one im getting has a nipple to attach a rubber tube to that will stick down below the skid. Im probaly gonna just tuck the tube back up on to the skid and pull it down when i need to drain the oil. Another member on here says thats what he does and works great. As far as oil filter goes i just tuck as many rags under and around the filter to soak up as much as i can. Ill see how it works. Wouldnt it be nice if we had a catch can like the 2nd gens do. Lol

I think my OME came with some just like that. I had to raise the lower control arm and force the shock to smash it so I could get the top nut on. Was fine once on but I remember them being real stiff.

    Yes.

Ordered the tailgate to my Snug Top. $450! Cheaper than a new cap I guess. What really sux is that they do not recommend drop shipmnts and will not warranty the glass making it to you in one piece. I will have to drive 277 miles one way to go get it. Damn.....

I get the filter loose. Then cut the top off a 2L bottle hold both bottle and filter squeezing the bottle on filter. Let it fall in then let drain too.
