The TRD supercharger does not void your warranty. It is a OEM Toyota part that comes with its own Toyota warranty and does not in any way void your existing warranty. All TRD parts are the same way...from the supercharger to the exhaust.

I knew that, but it was my read that adding the supercharger would extend the warranty - is that incorrect?

Not to my knowledge. You do have a warranty on the supercharger itself, but I don't think it will extend the existing warranty on the truck.

It doesn't extended the warranty on the truck. It has it's own warranty

Pricing out my new diffs from ECGS and can't decide if it's really worth $600 extra for a front locker. I've got the rear locker and good tires, is it really necessary?

    Going to 4.10s BTW

Depends on how you are offroading I guess...

I mostly go hunting, which is not always on roads or trails. I get over light rocks, fallen trees, etc. I'm fine with no front locker. I can't imagine a situation I would find myself needing one unless I was trying to climb rocks. But, if I was going to climb rocks, I would buy a Jeep. :p

Worse comes to worse, use your winch?

    It's only money right?

One more dumb question, if I just do the rear diff and then the front diff later, as long as I leave the transfer case in 2WD truck should be fine to drive?

I feel like a storm is coming after this post....

Ok fellas, I need to ask for your help and experience. I've got two monthsleft in this sh*t hole they call Afghanistan and I’m starting to get the buyingbug. It's about that time to start a shopping list and purchasing what I will needto add my lift/suspension, wheels, and tires when I get home. Since most of thetime I'll be driving on roads and doing light offloading for hunting/fishing, Idon’t need any crazy expensive high performance kits. I think I'm going to gowith the OME 90000 sport shocks with 885 Coils and a OME DAKAR Leaf Spring set.How does that sound? I need your help coming up with a shopping list of whatI'll need. I'm sure there are some small things like the U-bolt flip that I'llforget to purchase and be waiting on when I'm home and ready to start.

Oh and if there are any "better" places to purchase from, that'd be helpful as well. Thanks guys!

You can always throw some extended stainless braided brake lines in there while you are at it and new upper control arms if your alignment is picky after the lift. Being in the NoVA area I chose the light racing UCAs and they have held up pretty decent with the road salt so far. Wheels/tires wise are your preference really. I have km2s right now and while I love them, they are overkill for me. I'll most likely be going to duratracs after the km2s wear out. The OME kit is a good bet but I've heard people groaning that the dakars seem to be sold out most places. You can try places like Wheelers, Down South, or Toytec. All are vendors here IIRC so maybe there will be discounts.

Some places may offer military discount. So you could save a couple hundred bucks if you ask...

I went with the exact lift you are looking at. Wheeler's Off Road sells the entire lift as one big kit for a great price. The next step up would be a coilover setup by Icon/King/FOX which will almost double the cost of the lift and from your post, it doesn't sound like that will provide any bonus to you.

The whole kit was easy to install and took about a day to do. I added extended brake lines to the front and back to ensure I didn't pull them and the pedal feels better with them. I also picked up a set of Light Racing UCAs since I didn't want to deal with possible alignment problems and I already had the whole front end apart.

Wheels and tires are entirely up to you. I found a set of TRD T/X Pro wheels and put 255/85/R16 KM2s on them.

I've got a pieced together lift setup sitting here ready to go on when I get back from PA on the 29th. Got ome shocks and 885's and have heard no complaints about them. I have all pro expo leafs and total chaos ucas as well as the u bolt flip and steel brake lines as well. What you have picked out is a great kit and like said before some brake lines and ucas certainly wouldn't hurt. Be safe while you're still in the sandbox and thanks for your service :oldglory:

Did some looking around about the Dakars being hard to find. It looks like they had an issue getting them into the country or there was some manufacturer issue that was limiting stock availability. Looks like that's gone now as every store I look at says they are available to ship immediately.

Wow, you guys are great! Just a couple hours went by and I already have some awesome responses. So far I'm feeling good about what I'm reading. I checked out Wheeler's and I believe the kit spithead051 was talking about (Complete OEM Suspention System) seems to be a good option for me. I'm not sure what the benefit of buying the Sports instead of the Original Nitrochargers are though. Can someone help with that? It also looks like I'll be buying a Light Racing Control Arm Set and brake line extentions. This is a great start. I'm writing everything down for now and hopefully after some more advice from y'all, I'll be purchasing soon and have everything waiting for me when I get home!
