Can't wait to see a side by side comparison of a "stock" Tacoma and then a "plated" Tacoma.
    Of course WOT test.

I already drive very economically so do you think that it will benefit me (65% city, 35% highway)?

I think it will for the highway, city is iffy because of the stop/go. depending on the traffic, if you gradually throttle up, I think it'll work out pretty well.

While it likely does... your claim still remains undocumented. And you're only shooting yourself in the foot by not actually backing up that claim with some real world comparative dyno charts. ;)

    Well, I didn't actually ask.... ;)

It was just a reminder that unproven claims can only impede sales because of their reduced credibility.

I wish I had disposable income! I could never purchase a product lacking "on paper proof " however I'm glad that who ever purchased this product is hopefully happy so far!
I hate to be redundant but I hope dyno results are provided soon, maybe then I'll consider.

    Proof's in the pudding....

I'm not shooting anyone in the foot, those who have bought; know, those who have not; speculate. I've run a dyno that wasn't conclusive due to issues. There are real world results for this spacer whether you choose to believe them. I am going to do more when I can get the shop available, and have a test truck to work with. I'm sorry it's not as quick as you would like. Like I said, those of us running them know they work. It will happen when I get the time. I am certainly not trying to hide or hold anything back. I want the results a much as you, they help me. Just need to get things together. Just got back to work after a 10th anniversary vacation.

Relax, man... I'm on your side in more ways than one. ;)
It's just one tiny suggestion in a great big forum, and might make the difference between selling some and selling some more. How you chose to do business has been entirely your own call.

yeah I am. I honestly was going for dynos before sales, but people started buying them ahead of time so I had to make them and ship them out so it wasn't the ideal way to do it. People pay for a product, you need to ge tthem them their purchase. Having the data definitly helps back up any claims. I just meant that (even though it was 99% Nissan so far) I have never had one of my spacers ever returned and everyone who buys one loves them (several hundred sold). I am wanting this to be the case with the Toyota as well. It would highly benefit me to have the data. I just have to get the time.

That was actually your own decision to accept people's money up front.

The real question is how many more would you like to sell? :)

Ok let's leave the guy alone now. He has said many times he is planning on dyno runs. Pestering him isn't gonna make time go faster.

I'm sure the second he gets the dyno info he'll post it here in a hurry.

They can be. Just hasn't been done. I even asked about having mine made that way originally. Main reason, the upper plenum is plastic. If it were aluminum, then it would very much be a necessity. But it is plastic.

    +1

The main issue with thermoplastic is the initial set up cost vs. sold items to pay for the it.

If you think of the spacer as a 1/2 inch extension of the aluminum ports, I think that the difference would be minimal as the plastic manifold still makes up most of the intake runner pathway. Exactly the same engine heat is still being radiated, albeit from a slightly larger aluminum "sink".

Aluminum is way cheaper for small runs.
