Saw this sweetness the other day, its a turbo

 

diggin the rear camber

 

I bet it handles like a dream

 

so ugly... I dont get that look or bolting a turbo on a fwd car. One of my best friends did the B18C Acura Integra motor(I think that's the motor) & Acura LSD and then bolted a big turbo on it...
Once tuned he let me take it for a drive and I would not power shift it at all. I needed both hands on the steering wheel once VTEC combined with a spooled up turbo hit its range from 6-8000 RPM. Damn thing just wants to torque steer right into a wall!!
Now the thing just sits in a garage cause it is barely streetable and non emissions legal (even with a ton of PC tinkering)
No fun to have a 300+ HP FWD car! I told him to pull the turbo and if he wants a Honda that can handle that power for under 14k, buy a used S2000.

 

I thought an LS was a 2.0l block. Either way fwd can be a pain in the ass with that kind of power but that's where equal shafts and an adjustable lsd come into play. My old mans srt4 caliber was 285 and a blast to drive. That CRX is probably waiting to now up, if you look closer the intercooler isn even centered

 

Hate to say it but sounds like your buddy had a shitty build.. I had a 375HP Civic Hatch back and it was a rocket, didn't pull into walls, and there was no vtec as its not needed. Typically you disable Vtec on turbo honda's. My B18c1 would spool up around 3k rpm, Vtec kicks in on that motor around 5400rpms so its pointless to have it. Hell my buddies Talon had a T60 and would be spooled up by 4k.. If your buddies car is spooling at 6k then its tuned horribly wrong. As for it steering into a wall, sounds like he doesn't have LSD or its not working properly.

ANYTHING with 300+ hp is fun. I don't care if its front whee, rear wheel, 1 wheel, 6 wheels, its still fun.

The stanced look on the other hand is fucking stupid and I wish it would go away.

I spent years and years on getting import cars low to the ground and having no camber.. It's hard as hell to accomplish correctly on some cars. Now the cool thing is to slam them and camber the piss out of the ride..

Exactly what I'm working on when the coilovers come out for the 5lug 2nd gens. Want to be able to pull it to at least .5 degrees of neg vs the 1.5-1.7 I'm at right now.

 

All about performance to me... too low it's not streetable... lol
