    Yes that is stupid and I wouldn't do it.

    If one vehicle is taller than the other, when that rope pulls tight it will slightly lift the shorter ones back tires up while pulling the taller ones tires down. haha
    My only hopes of winning would be him using those 400 ft/lbs to get the tires spinning while my little 4.0 is keeping traction with lockers and once he starts spinning hopefully I just start dragging him away.

    Mark got a good deal on the 4.56's for that 8" rear though and he didn't have to replace the front ones.

    5.29's and 33's on an auto are more DD'able than 4.88's and 35's on a manual though...

    I mentioned the broken CV's to prove that Silas is wheeling his rig hard with those 5.29's and hasn't broken them.

    He shut down because he tore his Achilles tendon and can't work for several months...
    I hate it less that I did with 3.73's though. With 3.73's it was constantly downshifting. With 4.88's I just set the cruise and it run about 2700-2800 rpm the whole time. A little noisier but not bad, pretty sure the M/T's are noisier than the motor is haha. Just turn up the music.

    Ahhh. Didn't seem that long ago..

    I don't think 5.29s are more dd able then 4.88s and a manual. 4.88s and 35s with manual is basically just like 4.10s and 31s.. 5.29s kick the rpms up too high making hwy driving noisey and this not fun usually.

    Turning up the music just makes you deaf..

    You'll be deaf!!

    And riiiigghhhttt. Forgot the tendon thing..

    When I said more DD'able I literally meant that it will be at a lower RPM, about 100 RPM actually.

    I already am deaf! Well not farmerjon deaf, but still deafer than most people... and I don't turn it up that loud. Besides I'll bet your 12.50 KM2's are louder than my 10" KM2's and my tires are the loudest part of my rig on the interstate.

    Yeah, if somebody was truly going to stay with 33's then 4.88's would likely be a better choice there.

    But if 5.29's are too low for 33's with an auto then 4.88's are too low for 35's with a manual. haha

    Not from what I've read from the guys that have that combo. Say it's just like stock. Didn't even notice a difference.

    You'll be running at almost 3000 rpm on the freeway. That's higher than stock and higher than an auto running 5.29's and 33's. haha You're logic doesn't make sense here... haha Just cuz 5.29's sound really low doesn't mean they are for a whole different tranny.
