Can anyone comment as to how easy it would be to order and install these myself...do I need to drill through anything? The dealer wants $800 "installed". There has to be a better way!

    Thanks!

Straight bolt on, save yourself $400 bucks and do it yourself. Get under your truck and look on the rocker panels. There are bolt holes covered with a plastic cap (if I remember right they are black) Should be two just behind the front mud flap, two in the middle and two just in front of the rear wheel. Piece of cake. $400 labor is a joke, it's less than $400 for the steps! No drilling, the bolt holes are ready to go, just pop off the covers and ratchet them on.

Just installed mine on Friday. It took 3 minutes for each step bar. I don't know how the dealership can sleep at night.

I have a pair of N-Fab that look the same as The Predator you can even get a pair of Smittybilt that look like them and their even cheaper. It took me about
10 minutes to put them on by myself.

Thanks! I knew there had to be a better way but didn't want to screw my truck up. "How can the dealer sleep at night" is Freakin right!!!

By the way, I'm still telling my wife I'm spending $800!

Keavy, those N Fabs are exactly what I'm looking for. They look great!

    Thanks again!!

Just checked out the Rhino on Amazon. Very similar and great price! I've got some thinking to do now.

Good question. Got any ideas for a good $400 mod? That perhaps my wife won't notice. ;-)

Well how bout an exhaust. She may notice it she may not. But a nice growl when driving is sweet and even the minor hp gain is nice to.
Also a hitch with a clevis attachment could be good if u plan to offroad. Theres plenty of good things. Just not sure what u could do that she wont notice

A hitch is a good idea because she is pretty clueless. She may think it came with the truck and I just pushed a magic button that made it automatcally appear. God love her!

400 bucks for mods is nice. U get either a big 400 dollar mod or spread it out on many cheap mods that equal 400

KeavyD, you were right...apparently they haven't changed much in a while from '08-'13.

I finally got them. Went to the 4Wheel parts store and got the Nfabs on sale for $270 plus tax. Thanks for all the advice. I'm trying to post pics but the system is hanging right now. Thanks again for the tip on the sale...I think they gave me too low of a price since it was $329 on the website but I'm not complaining either way!
