The leaf springs on my Taco look really flat and I have no load in the back of my truck...I have a 3" suspension lift & 2.5" body lift...It looks like there was supposed to be 4 but there's only 3...shouldn't the springs be bowed quite a bit...???

New Pioneer stereo, and all 4 speakers with Infinity components. Sirius satellite radio. Deckplate mod done. Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
Mine are flatter than crap too. One of mine is cracked in half. I have a set of AAL's coming tomorrow, but think I may need to order completely new springs anyways. It just so happens the broken spring is the one that has the spring clips on it.... I will order stock height springs and put the AAL's in before installing the new ones. What other options am I left with......

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Wheeler's just e-mailed me this: Keep in mind that the Tacoma springs do sit kinda flat, even when you get the performance springs.

I dunno. I have a body lift, and mine don't seem to sit too flat.

Same here. I have axle wrap now, but it seems to be getting worse little by little. I'm looking to get the 5 leaf pack set from Wheelers possibly next month & hope to wind up with a 1 1/2 inch lift. My new Bilsteins are comming Friday, can't wait! When I hit a bump, my back teeth rattle! Sure hope it rides better with this setup....

No. Lifting the body a couple inches off the frame has no effect on your springs.

Did they tell you that they consider a year and a half of road use to be an acceptable life span for a set of their springs? That's what they told me, after mine broke. Might as well get a junkyard set. I won't be doing business with Wheeler's again.

So which leaf set did you get? I might re-think getting mine there....

It was their . Word-of-mouth on the Internet is excellent. While my experience may be an abberation, my conversation yesterday left me with the distinct feeling that they expect them to fail fairly often, considering it's a part that should out-live the chassis, if it's not outright abused.

NOT cool:eek:.... I have now made the positive decision I will be buying Skyjackers.... They have a lifetime warranty. And at $415 shipped a good deal. I WAS looking into Wheelers springs. WAS.

I will be doing exactly that next week, but Skyjackers, better deal with Skyjackers and a lifetime warranty... I put the AAL's up for sale on here and CL.

Who that suspension king website? I bought my U's from Fat Bobs Garage. Galvanized long length for $40 per axle. I am buying the Skyjackers and forgetting the rest.
