    Day 19 juice fast check-in:

    Starting Weight: 290.8
    Current Weight: 267.2
    Previous Weight: 267.4
    Lost since yesterday: +0.2 :-(
    Total Weight lost: 23.4

Days like this make it tough to get motivated to drink nothing but juice. lol Those big weight loss days near the beginning are quickly averaging out to a pound a day if I keep having days of no loss or even gaining like this.

19 days is nuts. I guess I didn't realize I'm creeping up on the half-way mark already. You actually don't want to work out so there's not a lot I can do to speed up the process in a healthy way unfortunately. Just have to ride out the highs and lows and make sure I'm drinking enough of the right kinds of juice and plenty of water.

Healthy pssshhh. :D makes me wonder how my brother and I made it with cutting weight for wrestling. Would be like 8-12lbs for a match. Lots of sauna suites and sit ups/push ups in a sauna. Wrestling in our sauna suites in the heated wrestling room. And this was in our early 20's when we were freestyle wrestling. High School that shit was easy, throw drinking beer more often into the mix and the weight loss was tough.

And only half way holy crap!!

Yeah, I could go that way but I'm trying to do this as healthy a way as possible. When you juice fast the added stress on your body can be counterproductive and most of the days when I do more sweating & exercise I end up losing the least. I won't be really able to start working in exercise until I'm done with the fast.

Makes sense, I would assume your energy level isn't that high either for a high intensity work out.

It's weird man, my energy is fine as far as waking up and just feeling awake as that definition of energy goes. You feel more energetic actually. The opposite is true for things that require physical exertion however. When I mow our lawn and our neighbors now I have to use the propelled feature on the mower almost all the time plus cut down on my speed overall and let the mower do a lot more of the work. The first time I mowed I thought I was going to die I was so out of breath and I just kept going. I was having some heartburn issues the night before so when I got up I didn't drink juice before I started and that was a bad idea. Not sure where I thought my body was going to get energy from because burning fat is a VERY slow process for deriving energy from. Now when I get up I chug juice before I start and then I let the mower do most of the work and slow down and I get through it. I also tend to not lose weight on that day so the whole working out thing isn't as much of a benefit on a juice fast as it would be on other diets. It sucks because usually when you want to lose more weight you know you have to work harder but with this you can't do that. You just have to be patient which is hard for me.

Yeah I would think that anything physical would drain you down fairly quickly. The out come will be worth it though.

That's why you drink juice. Normally what you're saying would apply to other 'diets' but juice fasts are entirely different because your digestive system has physically shut down after a few days. When you are constantly eating in small portions it's still working so it's looking for food to be in it. When it's not there it goes into a different state than when you're juice fasting. Juice fasting puts your body in a different state of ketosis which turns stored fats into ketones for supplemental energy which is ideally what you're looking for anyway.

It really does suck for me because I love doing physical stuff outdoors & this puts a damper on that. I just have to keep the goal in sight though and that will help me get through it and in the end it will be worth it.

Id be ok with napping on the couch during this if I didn't have my daughter haha. Work would be a problem, especially because my last 5 rotations we have had working fires and I'm on a truck company.

I've never been a napper though. I can probably count on two hands the amount of times I've napped my adult life. For you it wouldn't work but with your lifestyle you shouldn't have to do a juice fast anyway. It's more for those who live a more sedentary lifestyle. Those who sit in office cubicles 50hrs a week and don't have time to work out and their ilk.
