Question mark? My fam and I are heading to denver and need ideas on stuff to do for as inexepensive as possible. We won't be in my truck so wheeling is out. Any ideas from the local guys?

Fooding and beer are some of the best around in Denver. Denver biscuit company, el camino, Euclid hall, rack house, I can keep going, breweries River north, Prost, Denver brewing company, renegade. Places to go the springs is not far and has pikes peak, garden of the gods, 7 falls. Denver longs peak, coors brewery tour. Hiking is free just be prepared for all types of weather and I mean all.

Sweet, those look like good ideas. Any knowledge of museums or kid friendly stuff?

New guy checking in again to say pretty much this.

Unless it's a real specific competition (MTB biathlon, etc.) where a high-zoot rifle is needed, a perfectly serviceable used semiauto 22lr can be had for around a hundred bucks, and not much more than that for a new one. What kind of competition is this - irons, scopes, or red dots needed for optics? Appleseed-type deal?

Ah yes I like the new location of the Colorado history museum it's awesome in there. Also the children's museum and the zoos like Lauren said. I like the Cheyenne mtn zoo more than the Denver zoo. Both are nice though, also the aquarium is sweet! Thy have mermaid shows.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is immediately south of the Denver Zoo, and is a great place to take kids. Doing the zoo and the museum in one day is a sure way to get the kids tired out - a day each would be a better option. :)

Yes a day at each they both have so much to take in and do that you want the whole day! The museum has many interactive things and shows, I had a blast the last time I went like two months ago.

There's an open sight and sight category. So I think I could just use the iron sights.

I forgot about the Aquarium! It's cool. If you go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, make sure you stand away from the Giraffes if you try and take a picture of them. Iphones look a lot like graham crackers and one almost ate my moms LOL But it's cool you get to hand feed them.

I think we will be hitting up six flags while we are down there. The rest of it is all up in the air

Good luck! I have a buddy who has a really clean 85 bodystyle pickup who lives in Firestone/Longmont that you'll probably see when you get up there!

If I do manage to get a gun, you guys should compete with me. It's open to anyone. They have a junior (open, open sight, scope), adult (open sight, scope), senior divisions (open sight, scope), and adult/senior (open). :D
