So I have decided I want a double cab.... Badly:D

I stopped by toyota today and narrowed it down to two different 2013's one is a white DCLB sport really like it, the one thing that is really buggin me is the turn signal on the mirrors it just doesn't look right!

The second is a spuce mica DCSB off road I really like this one too! But the short bed makes me hesitant and I really really hate chrome.

So my questions, does anyone who wanted a long bed but settled for a short bed regret their choice? Also has anyone ever asked the dealer to swap out the nasty looking chrome grille and back bumper to color matched?

Thanks for any input on making my choice easier. Oh and just I'm case anyone was wondering I own a 2007 off road access cab now really love this truck but want more room.

bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
I can't deal with a short bed, can't haul a motorcycle in it...or building materials. A rack to haul 20' sticks of metal stock would also be REAL nice.

What are your expected uses? I see than many folks NEVER use their beds, I use mine almost every day...

You have a LB now. Was there ever a time that you couldn't have been without the extra foot? You could always get the bed extender. A color matched grill is around $200 I think.

I have the Sport and love it. I wish I had the off road armor but I hate the black mirrors, door handles, and chrome. I also have the short but but don't have much need for the longer bed.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Paint over the turn signals.

I say get the sport and swap mirrors with someone on here. I'm sure plenty of people on here would take a set of color match mirrors.

i've got white mirrors if you want to trade!!!

I only thought I wanted a short bed because I think they look better, but I'm pretty much wishing for the extra foot just about every other day

Man such a hard choice, I do use the long bed but not daily I have loaded it down with fire wood and a lot of hay.... Probably to much hay:) I'm leaning towards the sport I can deal with the mirrors and the skewp is pretty lame on the new trucks but it seems like I would enjoy it more. I have a Trd off road now and rarely use the locker so I don't need the off road package..

When it comes to sr5 does that come with fog lights, my favorite mod this far has been fog light anytime just love that look

I had an 05 DCLB, my last two have been DCSBs. I've never missed the longer bed. I don't use my truck for work, I've always trailered ATVs, and anything I've had to buy at the home improvement store has been able to be hauled in my short bed. The short bed is also much easier to park and fits in my garage without having to pull 6 inches from the back wall.

I never saw the need for a long bed if its to big for a short bed more then likely it's to big for a long bed ... Motorcycles I just leave the gate down just strap other things in I use my bed every day and every weekend have a 17' chunk of alum on it.. Works just fine and its a short bed :p
    image-46_8589cc714fb547f39437dce15bb42aab396f61f2.jpg

But if you think you do need it... Then get a long bed or you will regret it like I do 4 wheel drive... Go with your gut or you make it unhappy and regret it
