Lower passenger ball joint boot is leaking grease. I got a quote for $130 which includes lower ball joint labor and replacing rack and pinion bushings, Labor only. I bought the energy bushings, but not sure about the LBJ I bought from autozone. I want to make sure the LBJ lasts so, does anyone have a recommendation on which brand of lower ball joint I should buy?

Also, is the $130 a fair price for passenger lower ball joint labor and R&P bushing replacement labor?

Here's the specs I got back today. No caster specs? Should I bring it back one more time? If they don't get it right again, I should probably take it to a better alignment shop huh? :notsure:

    Left Front:
    Camber 0.1*
    Caster ???
    Toe 0.1*

    Right Front:
    Camber 0.2*
    Caster ???
    Toe 0.09*

    Total Toe: 0.18*
    Steer Ahead: 0.00*

Aren't those the caster specs right there? 0.10* and 0.9*?
Caster specs look shitty, camber is decent but not great, and idk what good specs are for the toe haha

Do you have the stock UCA's or did you upgrade them?

That's what I thought at first but the values are above the label (camber, caster, toe) so by the looks of it there are no caster specs. no clue why

I'm running stock UCAs, was hoping not to have to get new ones.

    Bone stock. For now.
Deckplate Mod. I haven't driven it yet so I don't know if it's made a positive or negative difference, if any at all.

Haha nope. No tools at the apt. Lift is going on Wednesday so rubbing wont be an issue anymore... till the 35's that is haha. I have a buddy with a bunch of tools here so when the 35's come, tubbing will be no problem ;)

I seriously have a thing for your truck :jerkoff:

Installed my skid plates. what a PITA! First the old owner broke the front bolts off and they didn't want to come out. Plus had to add spacer and longer bolts to work with diff drop. It's in for now, will pull it later and get all the rust off and paint them.

Have a power steering leak, right were the steering connects to the R&P. Now I have to see if I can get the seal and fix this in the next week or two.

I am going on a night run tonight.

I have that same leak too, when i was taking to the mechanic he thinks my R&P went out along with my lower ball joints and that my R&P is causing the leak, I'm going to have a huge bill:(

    That sucks,

I hope to get the seals I need for a few bucks and fix this leak myself. A complete seal rebuild kit is any were from $40-65 depending on were you buy it from. I have read that it is a PITA, but very due able.

For me, I shouldn't have to pull the whole thing, just take apart the steering knuckle to replace the seals and dust cover.

    Time to message Jorge@camelbacktoyota
