Colorado B.S. Thread

Yeah it is. In addition I'll be able to venture out of the limited recipes I've been sticking to to keep sodium and everything else down. I'm likely to juice more now because I enjoy it rather than forcing myself to do this another month to where I hate it.

 

My intention is to continue to juice daily, and use that for at least one meal when I go back to eating healthy regular-ish food.

 

That's kind of along the lines of what I'm going to do now. The plan was to lose the lion's share of fat doing this and then doing it the old fashioned way from there forward. I accomplished a large weight loss and, probably more importantly, broke away from the horrible eating habits that put me there and I don't even crave the same foods I once did. Hell, I don't even today crave the foods I was craving a week ago that weren't healthy. I saw a commercial for the new pretzel bun hotdog at Sonic and couldn't get that damn thing out of my mind. Now that I'm contemplating breaking the fast it means I could literally go get one and I don't even want to. Right now I want to go get some avocados, onion, cilantro, tomato & serrano peppers and make some kick ass guacamole! Hell, I have most of the ingredients on-hand already thanks to my new diet.

Yeah tell him to give me 1.5-2 acres to build a house on.

Dear internet...please stop dying in the middle of me taking quizzes and exams. I've come really close a few times not being able to submit them within the time limit.

 

haha ohh snap. That's always my biggest fear.

I really haven't craved that much since I started down this path. I did want a steak for a few minutes when smelling the neighbor grilling. I wanted IHOP red velvet pancakes the other morning when I opened the front door at work and immediately smelled pancake syrup. But I'm not obsessing over anything missing. I'm not even missing vodka.

I am planning on starting to incorporate food again by Aug 10th. JT gets to CO on the 16th & I'm not lugging my juicer to Denver for that weekend. I suspect we will be eating out some, but I intend to obviously eat as healthy as possible.

 

Amazing! It was everything I thought it would be and then some. I'm excited about my dinner options.

See? OMG... steak! I must have one. I've seen more steaks the last three weeks then the entire year before it. I just can't eat like a giant ass steak or if I grill I need to split it into like four meals. As far as sweet stuff... never really been my thing. I don't really crave sweet stuff the way I do various meats and such. Oh.. and bread. God that shit is good! I was a sucker for Mountain Dew too. Oh well, just going to have to live w/o them now. Mountain Dew doesn't even sound good to me now. Sounds WAY too sweet.

 

Wendy's has a pretzel bun burger. Everyone says its amazing

 

I saw that too but I'm going to try to avoid it. I'm sure it wouldn't kill me to try one but I need to focus on eating better stuff. I've swore off breads and dairy so that burger has a lot of things I can't have.

 

That's just MEAN bringing that up lol

 

Don't worry, those commercials always make them look better than they are. You're not missing out on anything. Stick with the juice fast & you won't even want anything like that.

Anyone want to ride Keystone tomorrow and then hit some of the trails near Montezuma? I was thinking about St. Johns and Radical and looping back to Montezuma. If any one doesn't want to ride, we could meet up mid afternoon and run trail. My goal is to have a late finish to avoid traffic back down 70. Lemme know!
