I guess I'll just move my stock hangers forward till I figure out what to do about the creeper joints.

Easy, get the ballistic creeper joints that Silas has, they work great. I even told him to stay away from TG and he listened :D

Yeah, man, that sounds perfect. 59.5-60" should put you around 40-45 degrees. (Tacking it all together, first, is a great idea.) Just keep in mind that the steeper angle will cause more lift... (Obviously) Almost an inch. With a 3" lift up front, you'll have a rake unless you french the front hangers... You could always just go to a 5" shackle if it sits too high when all is said and done.... I'm just thinking out loud, now. You'll get it all figured out when you've got the springs under the truck.

Sweeeeet! Can't wait to see that! Dove nose does look like a lot of work but it doesn't look terrible, just have to relocate the battery, reroute the intake, get rid of te charcoal canister and maybe move the fuse box.... Then the body stuff isn't hard. Harder than a dovetail, sure, but not impossible.

On my phone right now, but I'll post up all the links in the morn!

I don't have a problem with a little rake. I'll start with a 6" for more droop but if it sits too high I'll just cut that one down. Off the top of your head do you know what size bolt fits the stock shackle hanger? I forgot that the stock shackles have the bolts welded in. I know the spring is 9/16 but I have no idea on the top. I need to pick some up before I tear everything apart next week.

Edit: Looks like it's 18mm. Son of a bitch I don't want to have to buy another $20 drill bit

There's the link below! vvvvvv haha That's really all I got, come to think of it... Just 2 of the 2.63" joints, then some shock mounts.

I made my own cradles for the joints out of 1.5" x .125" box tube.... I don't think Ballistic makes pre-cut hangers for them. :notsure:
    Thanks, man:cool:
    Agreed. :D Thanks.
Don't know, unfortunately...... Would think it'd be SAE, not metric though... :notsure: When in doubt, just find some massive channel locks or even better, vise grips. That's what I do..

Are you sure it be modified to work with the 2.63" joints?? (Besides cutting an inch or so out of the center and rewelding, in addition to widening the radius to accept the 2.63" circle) The weldable surface on the joints is only 1.85" wide, which made 1.5" box tube perfect for making hangers.... I don't see the dimensions, but it says the are made for the 3" bushings, which seems like it'd be way too wide.

True. Quite a bit of modification to make the 2" mounts work.

I noticed that both you and Supra are using straight shackles. It's looking like I will have to recreate the bends in the stock shackles in order to make them work. The metal sleeve in the chevy springs is 3" wide but the bushing in the stock spring hanger is 3 7/8" wide. What difference does straight vs. bent make?I know that both of yall have aftermarket hangers. Is this just something I have to deal with? I'd like to have straight if I can but with almost an inch difference in widths straight is simply not going to work.

I'm still running my stock hanger (for now) and I made my longer shackles kinda like this
    Don't mind the "."
    |[___]|
    .\....../
    ..|[_]|

When I was running my stock shackles I had to widen the leaf spring side to fit the Chevys

Yeah bending them isn't an issue but I don't wanna make a bent set then switch to the ballistic creeper joint hangers and have to make another straight set. Could I use washers as a spacer for the leaf spring side or is that a horrible idea? Haha

Well I'm using my stock 18mm hanger bolt so I'm going to switch to a 9/16" bolt when I get my ballistic joints. So I'll have to make new shackles anyway. Not sure what your plans are for using the stock hanger, but the bolt difference is something to consider.

Yes I know. I was planning on trying to get the 18mm bolt out of the stock shackle and use it up top and 9/16" bolts on the bottom.

The stock shackle bolts are pressed in right? BFH do the trick?
