    Well after I broke the clamps I got a 5000lbs cargo strap and used it to separate the leafs enough to get it out and get the new one in. I know there has to be an easier way but my redneck engineering worked in the end.

    Hey Zach, just get an frs like I'm goin to. Easily the best driver feel car for under 25k since the s2000. A more refined chassis and suspension but with a lil less power. Or if you want to spend nothing and get the best car possible, buy a miata.

    yeah, i don’t really want an FR-S imho it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. and don’t want to spend that much on something. may actually look at a miata, or a 240.

    We have a like ’91 300zx. but it needs a little work. maybe new trans. also it’s auto and i kinda want a manual for a car. I think it would be to much work to swap in a manual trans, and all the other stuff. i would also probably have to pay to have it all done since i don’t have a good place to work on it.

    to new. I wan something at least like 3 or 4 years old. also don’t really want to spend more then 13k or so.

    may try and find a miata or s2k. maybe as new as ’05 or so and if i did find like an ’05 s2k i would not have to do much. I like my buddies ’08 where it is. only thing i’d do is get a single head unit that had blue tooth and ipod hook ups.

    It's cool to have an opinion and I can't talk shit about that but I like to base my opinions on facts and go from there. If you think that an frs isn't what its advertised as then you know nothing about the car. The frame and subframe are on par with some of the great racing companies such as Porsche. The trans is high quality and rivals all time great trans like the s2k. The diff is built very similarly to proven diffs like the supra. The electronic steering is possibly the best out on the market. The motor placement and weight distribution are strategically placed to give the car almost a 50/50 split which is ideal for racing. The car is very light and although the car lacks in hp, the motor is built to to race. Shifting at redline and keeping the Rpms above 5500 are what its made for. Aero dynamics are there. It lacks in refined luxury in the interior. Race size steering wheel, race style seats, pedals set up perfect height for heel/toe, no back seat, no trunk space, etc ..... The car is exactly what Toyota wanted it to be. A pure driver feel specific built car. Hp numbers don't make a car drive well or fun to drive. All the things I mentioned make a car do both. The frs has already proven itself to be this car. In its class, it is hands down the best thing out. Records can prove that. So I respectfully have to tell u that your opinion is based on ignorance and just sucks. Haha ;)

    The miata is also a driver feel car. Everything about that car was built to go around corners fast and have fun doin it. Spend 10-15k on a miata and you have a car that's competing with Porsches and Ferraris on track day. I just don't like the way they look. And 240s are pure crap!! They are widely used as drift cars because of their weight distribution and abundance of cheap parts. They are the Honda civic of drifting. You can take just about any car that has a low center of gravity and decent weight distribution and build it into a good, fun track car but very few cars roll off the showroom floor that way

    I’m not saying the frs is not a great car, it is a great car! mostly what i have heard from people that have drove one, is it lacks power. rest of the car is great. If i had the money i would not mind one. but even used you are probably talking 20k, not looking to spend that much on one. if i was getting read of the taco maybe trade on one. but i steel need and want the taco.

    miatas are ok have rode in a few, but like you I don’t like the looks a whole lot.

    And they do lack power. But as I was saying, that's not what the car was built for. The motors have a bad torque dip between 3500-4500 Rpms. Spend $1000 on headers, exhaust and a tune and pull out the torque dip, add 40hp, and you have a car that's as fast if not faster then a s2000. And you only spent 26k now. Lol
